It’s fine. [She laughed softly] It does require a lot of effort and cooperation with the other Elites and the Champion, of course. Although, it doesn’t mean that we’re always burdened with work, we still have enough time to spend for our own use. If we did not, then I wouldn’t be getting my sleep then, which is not pleasant at all. Well, most try to go for the Champion title.

Yeaah, I guess so. But you're an Elite, I mean.. how many actually beat you? Or any of you for that matter. I know it isn't impossible, but it's tough nonetheless. [She was answering his questions, so maybe he could get some good info out of her..?] What kind of Pokemon do you have? Are they all big? Small? ... Type?

That would be wonderful then. [She smiled a tad] Being an elite does require a lot of responsibilities, so I suppose you can say that, but not much.

Still, though, I can't imagine how many challenges you guys must get or what other work you're all required to do. Being an Elite seems like it would be a really big thing to keep up with. How much free time do you even get? I mean.. I'd assume it's more than a Gym Leader might get since it's pretty easy to get to them.. Doesn't anyone ever try to take your title or something? [He stopped.] Ahh.. I'm throwing too many questions out at once.

I'm an Elite in Unova, perhaps you should come and visit if you have the spare time. Also, I have separate clothes for the cold. As for the Battle Castles, I am the head for both, though my valet is the brain.

[Perks up a little as soon as 'elite' hits his ears] Is that so? Well I've planned to have a look around the other regions, so I'll be stopping by Unova some time in the future. [He looked at her clothes again, wondering about the fabrics] I guess you're a busy person, huh?

Ah, I see. Johto is a lovely place to be, I’ve been there myself due to the Battle Frontier over there. My appearance? Is there something wrong with it? Well, excusez moi for the “absurd” clothing I am wearing, but it is considered a normal fashion for me. Not to be rude, but by the looks of it, I believe that you’re a trainer, am I correct?

Normal, huh? I guess so if that's what you wanna call it. Yeah, I'm a trainer. I guess you are too? I mean, besides whatever business you have at the Frontier.. I don't think people that just hang around would wear funny clothes like that unless it was for show or something... Don't you ever get cold, it looks so light...?

He could see in his eyes that he was seriously considering the prospect of the device and with a small amount of pushing, he just might take it.] Ooh, this is the latest and best model, brought to you by research derived from those before you. [He waved a hand dismissively and turned his back on the man with a huff. It felt too shady. But man, did he really want to say yes. Wouldn't that be considered cheating? Ah, it's not like he's never done that before, either...]

[He looked back over his shoulder] ... Show me how it works first...

Well aren’t you just…precious… [He smiles coolly and he adjusted his glasses, the lenses flashing slightly as he whipped out with his other hand from his labcoat pocket one of his small white devices.] Heh, this is the near complete model of my strength enhancing device. Made to improve battle performance for Pokemon by 110%! Isn’t that just something?

Why, just think— you could be on top of the League in no time with one of these! Or creating the perfect team for Gym battles! Collecting badges in other regions would be a snap with one of these~.

Does the prospect of better battle performance and strength for your team interest you, my dear Silver?

[He opened his eyes a little wider, his love for the idea of stronger Pokemon unchanged.] 110%, huh? That is something alright... But you said it wasn't finished yet? What are the side effects? And what's it gonna cost me..? And on top of that, does it really even work? I'm interested, but... I need to know first.

[He peered at the curious contraption wondering how morally wrong accepting it would be... And if he even cared about moral and immoral right now.] Still, though... It is a pretty enticing thought.

It is my hair actually! And ah, I must say it is a pleasure to meet you, Silver. I am Akuroma, researcher and scientist. Would you like to help me with some field research? I'm still in process of testing some devices and depending on your answer, well, I think I might have something you'd interested in.

Swords? That’s a new one… Hmm.. I think it’s better to show than tell. [He reached for a Pokeball with his free hand and released his Feraligatr, who immediately moved to greet the two strangers with plenty of interest] They aren’t very good at standing upright, but they’re pretty fast on all fours, and their jaws aren’t something you’d want to get caught in. He’s pretty nice himself, though.

Ah- He’s amazing! [ He gently reached a hand to stroke the Feraligatr, smiling a little. ] He seems like a great Pokemon. He’s a water type too, right? [ His Samurott pulled away from Silver to look at the foreign Pokemon, studying him curiously before greeting him ]

Yeah, he’s a water-type, [He had an almost amused look on his face] kind of a klutzy one because of all of that weight, though. [The Feraligatr looked to the Samurott, giving the ground a couple of strong thumps with his tail in response]. Where you headed somewhere?

Well, my Samurott isn’t exactly the most graceful Pokemon either. [ He chuckles a little, and his Samurott gives him a mock glare before turning to the Feraligatr, brushing his muzzle against the Feraligatr’s, curious ] No, nowhere in particular. Why?

Oh, just wondering since you're all the way out here. No real reason. [The Feraligatr made a short, excited sound and nudged the Samurott, crouching down on all fours with his tail in the air] Hmm...? I think he made a new friend over there or something... Sure is happy. It's kind of weird, usually a lot of other Pokemon run away when they see how big his mouth is.

Ah-ha~! And yes, indeed, you have me right, my young friend! I’m so glad you remember me. Anyway, I have been great. I’ve actually managed to get a new home with someone I love in Unova!

[He smiles, genuinely glad to see yet another familiar face since Ethan.] How have you been, Silver? Are you treating your Pokemon well? I hope so.

Oh, that's nice to hear. I met someone from Unova recently. Hopefully things keep up for you two then.

[He nodded.] Yes, I've been good to my team. We're doing very well, actually. They've shown a lot of improvement since I changed my methods. As for me myself, things have been going alright. Familiar faces and all. Nothing's too different from the usual.

So what brings you back to Johto? Elite business and what not?

[He leads Silver along to the Burger Shop as if he was some sort of Boy Scout marching for his next badge] Of course there’s no harm in that! Thinking positive is a good way to stay positive. The best! [He chuckles, holding the door open for Silver, and walks in after him to get in line] Do like it in Goldenrod City? You were kinda looking spacey for a second back there.

Huh..? Oh, yeah Goldenrod is alright. I don't hang out here very often, though. I'm usually off in some obscure location training or something like that. The usual thing. [He averted his gaze to the other hungry customers standing in line before them]

[He has a good chuckle] Alright then! We’ll see it all together then! Anyway, yeah, I guess we should find out if Hoenn exists and where it is before we decide to visit there. [He looks back at his Typhlosion, who only nods] They might have a place in Goldenrod where we can look up travel information. Well, after we eat and stuff. Maybe we could ask around and check it out? If you want to, I mean. Either way, I think I’ll do a little more research of my own.

[He nodded as well] I don’t have any objections to that. The more info we can get, the faster we can be on our way. And if it does exist, just think about all of the new Pokemon we can bring back. And if not.. Well we have other options, but I have a feeling it is out there. [He tapped his chin in thought, exhaling through his nose] Do you think we’re really going to be able to see everything?

If we put our mind to it, there’s nothing we can’t miss! We’ve come this far, right? I mean, everyday we learn something new or see what’s out there. I’ll make extra sure we get to see everything, alright? [He winked at Silver and smiled reassuringly] Oh! Hey look, there’s the day care! We’re getting close to Goldenrod now. I guess we could’ve just flown here, but I think walking and catching up was alot more fun, right?

[He couldn’t help but smile back with a chuckle] Yeah, walking was a lot better anyway. Sometimes it’s better to take things slowly… [He paused a moment] You know, I don’t think you’ve changed too much since we met. In a good way, I mean. How the heck are you always so bright and energetic? It’s like you’re running on some kind of endless positive energy that just blocks out every possible bad situation or something.

Well I…uh….I don’t know! [He laughs] I’ve always been like this, as long as I can remember, really! I just always look at the bright side. I don’t like to think about how bad or troubling things can be, so I think about how I can make them better or get through them instead. My Pokemon might have something to do with it, too. Isn’t that right, Typhlosion? [He gives Typhlosion a big hug, and the Pokemon returns the favor] If they’re happy, I’m happy! Anyway…it looks like we’re here. I think I saw a burger shop while I was here once, but we can always look for something else.
