New year, new bingo. Just like our favourite show, Riverdale Bingo is back for a 2021 round!
Shoutout to the incredible @bettycooper once again for the stunning banner!
Welcome to Riverdale Bingo, an all-character, all-ship creation challenge. Riverdale Bingo is a prompt-based challenge where you will receive a 3x3 or 5x5 bingo card with various prompts (tropes, au’s, locations, etc.) and the challenge is to write or create a piece that fills the prompt on each square.
This challenge will run from February 6, 2021 - November 15, 2021. Sign-Ups are open at any time and you can begin posting once you get your card up until the deadline.
There are a couple of options for this round. You can now choose a 3x3 mini-bingo card with 8 prompts and 1 free space, or a 5x5 standard bingo card with 24 prompts and 1 free space. You can also choose a General bingo card (sfw tropes, au’s, locations, etc.), a NSFW bingo card (NSFW topics, kinks, etc.), or a Mixed bingo card with both sfw and nsfw prompts.

In order for a square to be considered filled, it must meet the prompt and must be Riverdale related. (More information can be found in the guidelines).
You must follow the posting criteria below in order for your square fills to be eligible.
You must create a separate piece for each square filled on each bingo card (no doubling up). *exceptions for chaptered-fics in the guidelines.
You must be 18+ at the time of requesting to receive a nsfw topics on your card.
If you complete any square fills you must post a masterlist prior to the deadline.

You will receive a new card when signing up for this round.
You may keep any and all squares you want and there will be a space in the sign-ups to indicate which ones you would like to keep.
This is a new round, so while you are keeping some of the prompts, you are getting a new card and must abide by the updated rules of this round.
Guidelines
All Riverdale fan created content is eligible for this challenge including but not limited to fanfiction, gifs, edits, fanart, moodboards/aesthetics, fic recs etc. If it’s created content, you can submit it.
All Riverdale characters, ships and ot3′s are allowed for this event as are RPF (real-person fic), reader inserts, and OC’s (original characters).
Mature and explicit ratings are allowed for this event but must be tagged/warned for accordingly.
Explicit depictions between an adult and a minor are not allowed.
This is a Riverdale challenge so please make all square fills Riverdale related. At a minimum, at least one canon character, ship, or location must be featured in the work.
Please tag appropriately! Please keep all mature/explicit content under a read more link and tag any possible triggers and sensitive subjects. If you are unsure of what to tag for a piece, feel free to ask me.
You may (and are encouraged to) include pieces created for this challenge in other fandom events.
There is no word limit on fanfiction but if it is over 500 words you must have a read-more link or it will not be reblogged.
If you blackout (complete all squares) your card, you may request a second.
If you want any squares swapped out for another, please send us a message.
The secret word you will need to sign up is sweetwater.
For multi-chapter fics specifically: you may have each chapter as a separate square fill (example: chapter 1 is bedsharing, chapter 2 is love spell, etc.) OR You can have the whole fic as one square fill (example: a fic as Hogwarts AU). The fic does not have to be complete by the posting deadline but the square has to be filled in order for it to be reblogged.
Posting and Submitting Pieces for this Challenge
To submit a piece for this challenge please tag @riverdalebingo in all square fills and tag #riverdalebingo in the first five tags so your work shows up in the tag on tumblr. This system isn’t perfect so if I haven’t reblogged your work within a week of posting, please send me a message.
At a minimum, any square fill must contain the following: the square being filled, the word count (if applicable), the ship(s) and/or characters (if applicable), tags/warnings. If your work does not include the criteria listed, I will send you a message asking you to update your work or it will not be reblogged.
If you complete any square fills, you must post a masterlist prior to the deadline. This really helps me keep track of your work and in the past has helped me find pieces that weren’t reblogged because of tagging issues.

It’s official. Apartment hunting in New York City is The Worst ™. Somehow, every place is so far out of Betty’s and Jughead’s budget it’s laughable, smaller than the closet he slept in during sophomore year, comes readymade with an army of creepy crawly roommates, is in a useless (for business) location, or some combination of each.
When Blue and Gold Investigations stumbles onto a suspiciously (too) nice, vacant, AND affordable flat in a prime real estate location during a case, Betty and Jughead know it’s too good to be true. As “luck” would have it, it happened to have been the sight of a series of some rather violent unsolved murders, making no one want to live there-no matter how cheap the purchase price.
Until now. A murder apartment? That’s practically their idea of romance. Plus, someone was finally back on the unsolved case.

Her brow furrows. “Then why…”
“I tried to point out you would be the better choice but Toni took it and ran with it.”
Betty nods. “So… how do we go about this?”
He suspects there’s more to her question than just the newspaper. He sighs, dropping into a chair, cursing Toni and Weatherbee. “Well, I guess we’ll need to be on speaking terms in order to run a newspaper.”
“Are we not on speaking terms?”
“I don’t know, Betty, you tell me. We really haven’t spoken since the first night we got back to town.”

The girl takes a step forward, gaze locked onto his like she’s trying to read his mind. “Who are you,” she asks carefully, “and how did you find me?”
Jughead clears his throat and sits back as comfortably as he can. “Who are you?”
Her eyes narrow. “You go first.”
His lips twitch. “Jughead Jones, at your service,” he drawls. He’d do a little bow, too, if he had full capabilities of his limbs.
The girl is still studying him intently, which he finds slightly disconcerting. “I’m Eli—Betty.”
Jughead nods slowly—he’s a little baffled by the conversation, to be honest—and shakes away the fogginess still lingering in his head. “So, what’s the deal with the hair?”
A cheerful, sheltered girl with a dream. A sarcastic, jaded thief on the mission of a lifetime. When their paths cross, nothing will ever be the same.

Only with the help from earth-dweller, self-professed weirdo, and conspiracy theorist (Is it still a conspiracy theory if it turns out to be right, though?), Jughead Jones, an unlikely alliance with S.H.I.E.L.D agent, Nick Fury, reuniting with her long lost best friend, Josie McCoy, and embracing the truth of who she truly is will she be able to save the day.

A lovely Anon asked me for a Varchie interlude when I recently solicited writing prompts, and it inspired me to come up with this. 😊😊😊
When Betty and Jughead beat Veronica and Archie to the lake house they’re sharing for a couples’ getaway, Betty asks Veronica to bring up a bag she forgot at their apartment. When Veronica accidentally grabs the wrong bag, she and Archie wind up getting more insight into Bughead’s sex life than they were expecting.

St Patrick’s Day 2021
“Thank you for coming tonight.”
She whispers as they make their way into the first bar, squeezing the fingers he has linked with hers, a small attempt to make their relationship look more believable.
He’d arrived in New York a little after the others, leaving them no time to talk things over and plan the night out. He’d barely gotten his head around the fact they’d be sharing a bed for the weekend before they were piling into a cab and heading down town.
“What else are Holidates for?” He grins down at her, eyes not so subtle moving to check her out for the second time that night. He reads the green glittered writing for what feels like the millionth time, ‘Kiss me, I’m Irish’ printed in bold across her chest.
An impulse buy, she had told him, from their first St Patrick’s night out several years before. It’s little too tight, and she’s constantly fighting with it to stay down, but she’d promised it would help them get free shots later in the night and they’d both laughed.
By the time they make it over to the table, Jason’s around bought the first round and with a beer bottle held high in the air, he kicks off the celebrations.
