Have to reread Virgil's Calamity to help me write out the lore (it's been four years, even I as the writer need to refresh my knowledge) and I cannot get through the old art oh my god. Bless all of you for reading it because good lord the art is... SOMETHING.

Okay… it’s charming. I can see why people were able to get through the bad art. The dialogue is actually not too bad- I’m laughing my ass off currently.

I made Janus SO sassy. You can really tell this comic began before his real redemption in the series lmao. Alright. I got what I needed.

About to go iron out some more story details but here are some panels from the next part I’m working on in the meantime.

Virgil’s Calamity lore has never been completely ironed out. There are things, ideas, scenes, and script that is written out, and I know how I want the story to end, however a lot of the dialogue gets changed, edited, or even completely rewritten when it comes time to visualize the next pages as thumbnails.

I just spent the last couple days completely rewriting the next scene and officially designing some new pieces of lore that didn’t fully exist until now.

And now I have 34 panels to finish 🥴 this is going to take me like all month lmao.

You know what’s so silly about having a fan comic that’s been going for four years? As much as making a comic is in part influenced by wanting to bring a story to life for others to see, it is almost just as much for others as it is for me.

I reread every one of my new comic posts as if I didn’t just spend the last several days making the storyboard and then the final outlines and then the coloring and backgrounds and text lol.

To be fair, I haven’t actually read my own comic in full in a while- the old art is hard to look at personally, but when the posts are fresh, I find myself rereading them as if I wasn’t the writer and artist hahaha.

It’s nice that I can still be self indulgent after so long.

Nix makes a return after a couple years with a much needed retcon. I hope you all don’t mind the change in character design- it means nothing to the story or lore.

Okay I’m done.

Still working 7 days a week. Not so much 12 hour days any more thank gosh but still busy. I’m hoping I’ll have more time to sketch next week, but April is looking like it could be just as busy as March 😒.

In better news I just got a full ride to my law school of choice after asking them for more money 🙂‍↕️

Life is busy but good.
