markus as a unique prototype model (game canon)

markus as a common carer model, with other identical androids seen in game

i can see the appeal of markus both being as he is in game (a unique rk model where his origins are a bit of a mystery) as well as the idea of him being more akin to kara (a relatively common android where we’d see identical models throughout the game, with no unexplored mystery regarding his creation by kamski and no being a special rk prototype)

This was fun to draw, despite having to redraw it 3 times. It is worth it for our country. This is my first time doing an event like this so I am very excited, I already have the other drawings planned out!

"You don't trust me."

Her brown eyes snapped to his. A mixture of sincerity and guilt. "Connor, you know I trust you with my life."

"But not Markus'."

"It's not like that," she insisted. "We're just being careful. We want to make sure another android can't be manipulated into harming Markus again."

Connor's jaw tightened. He was a liability in their eyes. He'd been compromised before and they weren't sure if he could be compromised again. They didn't trust him.

North looked up at his LED. He sharply turned his head so she couldn't see it. "I have to get back to work."

"Connor."

"You said it yourself. Markus isn't safe until his attackers are caught. I'm going to hunt them down. That's one thing you can trust me to do."

this is a little preview into chapter 2 of my fic, "empty memories"!

this was originally for the dbh tiers big bang 2025, but i kinda got burnt out last year and didn't update it after posting the first chapter so in honor of day 8 of @rk1k-summerlovin 2026, i decided to finally update it again <3333

so my merm au and the recent swapped merm au drawings really got me craving just a pure rk1k pirate au ahahahah

apparently, in the golden age of pirates, skilled navigators were hard to come by and were often the first to be kidnapped "recruited" from another crew. so in this au, connor works as the navigator for the navy who has been actively trying to hunt down markus' pirate crew. (connor is the reason why they're able to find markus' crew so often). in one of their recent battles, markus' navigator is killed so in retaliation, markus decimates connor's fellow navymen and "recruits" him.

just a silly lil idea of markus being undercover and on the run

I'm thinking about Connor and Markus getting their first home together and how happy they'd be in it. Their first proper home that is, an apartment all to themselves where they aren't sharing some government allocated property with countless other androids in their space.

I imagine them going overboard with painting the walls initially like a couple of teenagers given free reign over their living space for the first time. They do it just because they can.

They'd start fairly basic, bright solid colours, then an added stripe of a contrasting one, then geometric patterns across the entrance-way wall until Makrus gets completely wrapped up in painting intricate designs and art works all over the place. It's therapeutic, and it's the complete opposite of any way he's been able to approach a living space before, he doesn't have to keep it meticulously clean and orderly, he isn't restricted from decorating because he doesn't own the property. It's his space and he can approach it whatever way he likes and he doesn't stop until the entire apartment is covered in patterns and paintings and murals.

Connor in the meantime gets wrapped up in choosing the furniture, mostly because Markus is too preoccupied with painting to provide all that much input. And it spirals wildly out of control once he reaches the garden centre. A palm for the corner of the living room and a couple ferns in the bedroom spiral into ivy hanging from the corners of every room, window sills covered with flowers so tall they begin to block the light and enough cacti and aloe vera to repopulate the earth's deserts.

Their home has been called many things... eclectic, Avant-garde, artistic, chaotic, beautiful or atrocious but it is theirs and they built it together.

recently i was watching a dbh playthrough and queen north was getting FAR too much hate in the chat, so could we get a lil something with her and rk1k? maybe she’s the one responsible for getting them together? maybe she officiates their wedding? idk i just like the idea of her being the couple’s biggest fan and supporter and she’s a queen who doesn’t deserve a lot of the hate she gets

Ancient ask I'm dragging out of the drafts box because NORTH IS STILL GETTING HATE IN THE GOOD YEAR 2026 TOO.

Let's be honest, she would be their absolute ride or die. No one can convince me that - for all that north gets on well with Markus in the game - that she wouldn't get on even better with Connor after the fact.

There are so many potential similarities and parallels between the two that I am 100% certain they'd end up as close friends.

And I can also a MILLION percent see her as being the reason they got together.

Hell, she probably noticed the direction those two were going in before even they did:

With Connor the clue is silence. When hes with north and other friends he is constantly yapping away, debating and arguing on every little disagreement or philosophical musing (Once Connor unlocks free will and free speech by GOD he abuses that power). But when Markus is in the room he becomes softer, quieter. Fully fixated on every word that comes out of the RK200s mouth.

But for Markus its the opposite. Usually he's more composed and reserved in friendly conversation - often burnt out from speaking and interacting all the time as the revolutions figure head - but at some point he starts talking to North about Connor and he Never. Stops.

She'll stop him in the corridor just to pass on one sentence of information and suddenly it's 10 minutes of "oh Connor said something like that earlier. You know Connor thinks- Connor said- Connor did this- Connor did that- Connor- Connor- Connor-"

And eventually it occurs to North what's going on.

And she's going to do something about it.

At first she thought Calling out Markus on how often he speaks about Connor would be enough for him to Get It but for as brilliant as their leader is he can be DENSE sometimes. Chalking it up to an interest in his models descendant "I guess"

Connor tried to brush it off too, "he's the head of the movement, it makes sense I hold him in high regard" As if Connor has ever been deferential to anyone in his LIFE after deviating. When she pointed out that Connor had literally called Markus a "massive idiot" and verbally torn apart one of his strategies not 24h but sat and listened in silence while he talked about types of paint for two hours he had nothing to say.

Eventually she has to pull out the big guns.

Lies.

So when rumour gets to Markus that Connor has been confiding to people that he was developing feelings for the RK200, and Connor hears the same in reverse, finally it clicks in their heads that they aren't just excited to hear about the others feelings but they DEFINITELY reciprocate.

It takes 6 months of their blooming relationship to figure out what North had done. They can't find it in themselves to be anything but appreciative though (however she will never let them live it down and the story is DEFINITELY going in her wedding speech).

Yessssss I live for Connor Puts-Anything-In-His-Mouth-to-Everyones-Horror RK800

In my headcanon it's an important part of how he interacts with and understands the world around him but explaining that to literally anyone else is an uphill battle because to the humans, it's disgusting, and to androids who cannot taste or analyse, its just baffling.

However Markus, of course, gets it. Well...eventually. At first when he'd started spending more time around the RK800 and noticed him dipping his fingers into various cleaning solutions in Jericho he had been just as perturbed as the rest of the androids. Downright shocked actually when Connor had picked up the first of the spray bottles (Windex) and squirted it into directly his mouth. The flicker of embarrassment that came across the other androids features though when he noticed Markus staring made him click his jaw shut again swiftly.

After a beat the RK200 couldn't help but as why Connor was consuming cleaning products instead of...well...using them to clean. He'd explained, sheepishly at first, that he could experience some allegory for taste given his analysis suite, and it was an interesting sensory experience for him. As Markus inquired further, seemingly fascinated by this feature, Connors explanation got bolder, enthusing about the interesting ways certain compounds interacted with his native cleaning fluid and what sort of sensations these could provide for him, also going into detail about how the advanced sensors also meant his mouth was the most sensitive part of him for physical sensation as well for touch and texture, and how he liked to experience different shapes and surfaces against his tongue which...well...Markus tried to not let his mind wander too far into that particular topic.

From then on Markus begins picking up bits and pieces to bring to Connor to analyse, anything and everything he thinks might interest the RK800. Odd gas station energy drinks with a laundry list of not quite legal ingredients to vaporisers with even less legal ingredients, antifreeze to toothpaste, plant fertilizer to aquarium additives and even the odd textured lollipop. More selfishly as well he brings him lots and lots of paint - knowing each brands exact pigment concentration and composition proves to be useful for Markus' own artistic endeavours. He revels in the way Connors LED flashes a brilliant blue every time Markus tosses him a new oddity to analyse. He brings the grossest options back to analyse at Hanks house because he gets a kick out of the humans abject disgust.

And after months of increasingly bizarre snacks Connor finally finds his favourite flavour when Markus, having stared at the other RK sucking on a lollipop for many long minutes, finally snaps and pulls it out of his mouth to replace it with a firm kiss.
