my Saturn return has honestly been wild af
I don't really remember the last time I updated this but some quick life updates for anyone who's still here:
age 23: new job, yay. first time in my life having stability, etc.
age 24: still liking new job, pandemic. moved to studio penthouse apartment in cute little neighborhood in Riverside. gorgeous sunsets + orchard. very lucinda Williams fruits of my labor.
age 25: bike down the CA coast, decided to move to SF.
Age 26: found a new job. moved to SF Jan 2022. new bike friends and exploring the city and Bay Area
Age 27: living in SF still, see above. More gardening and volunteering. Trail building habitat restoration etc.
Age 28: Still doing the above and get a garden plot. I also do a solo bike trip where I almost die in the middle of the mountains and I promise the universe that if I survive I'll call my mom, get more spiritual, and dedicate my career to stewardship and sustainability.
Age 29: start a seed library in the fall. in the spring I quit my job with no prospects and very little savings. run away to Mendocino to do a natural building internship. meet other seed savers and volunteer with them. start freelancing when I return to SF doing nonprofit comms with the seed ppl. get part time gardening job.
age 30 (now): finish my freelancing era bc turns out being your own boss is not that cute. leaning into the gardening stuff, which I do 4x a week. not a lot of money (especially for SF) but my nervous system is REGULATED. learning to play music. doing a lot of art. biking, swimming, hanging with friends. taking life one day at a time.
hi
i'm a simple girl: i see sunlight on the water, i find god
i hear the laugh of someone i love, i find god. the setting sun fills my room, i find god. i eat fresh strawberries off the vine, i find god. someone rests their head on my shoulder, i find god.
who still uses this?
So many people confuse being irresponsible with being fun and having self-control with being boring
Piping hot tea because some of y'all really think it’s cute to be out here casually ruining your health and lives
Annoying everyone with my new obsession
Hello, Police? I would like to report a murder at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Immediately following Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ homegoing service, refreshments will be served in the hall. It’s Easy Mac and dried out rotisserie chickens from Food Lion tho, so…ya know…
That was STONE COLD MURDER! LMFFFAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
HOLY.SHIT.
There are 4 things I learned when I was 25:
You do not have to be affectionate all the time to care for someone, in fact, caring can also mean a couple of texts or silence for a few days while you both live your lives happily and separately.
People do not care for you less when they’re busy with their own lives. It’s your reaction to them being their own person - and your ability to make yourself happy - that determines how they feel about you.
Not everyone reciprocates to your actions the same way. If you want someone to acknowledge, be interested in, or treat you a certain way for your efforts, all you have to do is let them know. They will try their personal best to accommodate that within their personal spectrum of feelings.
No one owes you 100% of them, not even after 30 years, because someone having a percentage of themselves is what keeps them sane at the end of the day and that’s okay.

I think (hope) I finally hit rock bottom
In her essay Tik Tok the great philosopher Ke$ha declared that ‘the party don’t start till I walk in.’ which is clearly meant to convey that any recreational gathering is not truly a party until Ke$ha herself arrives.
But what if Ke$ha were to leave the party for some period of time only to then walk in again? This paradoxical scenario in which a party must simultaneously already exist and not exist yet is known as Ke$ha’s Quantum Party and has stumped theoretical physicists for decades.
Actually, while Ke$ha does in fact declare that “The party don’t start till I walk in”, she later goes on to explain that, in fact, “The party don’t stop, no”. This means that regardless of Ke$ha’s later exits or reentries, the party will continue existing in its current state of being.
Only a few poems of the Greek poetess Sappho’s work have survived but thanks to a leading scholar’s investigation two new works have just been recovered—and gives experts hope to find more.
OH MY GOD
“The new Sappho is absolutely breath-taking,” said Albert Henrichs, a Harvard classics professor who examined the papyrus with Dr. Obbink. “It is the best preserved Sappho papyrus in existence, with just a few letters that had to be restored in the first poem, and not a single word that is in doubt.
I CAN’T EVEN BELIEVE THIS. HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT, THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY
