reading through some old vent posts, was kinda impressed that they weren't that redundant. even when i repeatedly complain about the same thing (because the problems I have tend to be persistent and cannot be resolved just like that), i find new angles from which to view and then describe my unhappiness and i think we all have to train ourselves to find silver linings.

I know I'm often wandering into your inbox but I just want to say I've been thinking about cadebra a lot lately and I love that your fondness for her shows throughout wizard city (and in F&C!! her updated design makes me so happy. growing into herself as a person.. auugh aughh she makes me so happyy...)

she's the coolest. I would SO watch a multi season cadebra spinoff if it existed. me and my friends adore her.

I think being so busy the last few months has seriously rewired my brain. Asking myself "What do I actually care about anymore?" and I can say, definitively, that making things that appeal to the Dunning-Kruger-addled masses, fussing over what might do well or not do well on social media, isn't one of them. I care about preserving my health, my family's health and safety, finding a non-exploitative way to make a fuckton of money so my family never has to fall on hard times, and making weird pretentious art like two of my colleagues might appreciate occasionally. How I'm going to reconcile the last two is a mystery, but it's refreshing having priorities to start.

You know, I'm sure romance and shipping and all that are going nowhere in the long run, but I've been getting this vague (singular, statistically insignificant) impression lately that our culture is, in this moment, collectively fatigued by the singleminded focus on and importance placed on romantic love. That we're craving more stories that focus on platonic love – of community, of familial love, and friendship. That's it. End of thought.

Ah, I honestly don't think about this stuff at all, haha.

Hmmmm, Spader's maybe the easiest. There was a line cut about his vegetarianism (Blaine justifying why Spader wouldn't tear meat from bones) so that stuck with me. I think he probably eats overall pretty healthily, but has a real sweet tooth.

Larry looks like a bao. He looks like he eats nothing but shumai, xiaolongbao, daifuku and jian dui/goma dango (my favorite). Do they have any of this in Ooo? They have boba so at least Taiwan's legacy survived.

Cadebra seems like she'd have food anxiety, like my cat. She's grateful for literally anything, but she always eats and drinks like it's the last meal of her life.

Blaine was probably copying Spader's habits. They also strike me as unusually health-conscious for a kid. Like the greasiest they'd go is japchae.

I don't want to think too hard about what a peppermint candy eats. He's powered by the sun as far as I'm concerned.
