Rowan wanted more than anything to get his family back. Yeah, he was content with what he had now... but just the thought. And he was curious. “How much work? Like is it super hard or.....?”
(¸.• ♛ → “If you want to play this way…” She muttered now just cutting her palm a bit, it hurts a bit but this will annoy Kai as well, he already tried to burn her, well, maybe not burn her but he did something, a sigh escaped from her lips and crossed her arms just covering what she was doing when she heard some steps. “Who is there?” She asked now lookig around.
Rowan had a thing for being quiet. Quiet and curious. When he heard a small voice he couldn’t help but follow it. Like the idiot he is. His eyes widened when she caught him and he quickly tried to move. Instead Rowan almost tripped over his own feet. “I uh-- Hi.. hi...” he mumbled, “Just uh... hi...” One thing Rowan knew he sucked at was excuses, “I swear I wasn’t... sneaking..” he lied, “Just... lost.”
She’d been up all night, her new normal of avoiding sleep to avoid her nightmares. Talen was discovering that her refusal to sleep had grown more and more difficult, her body wanting nothing more to give in to that relief she so needed. Hence why she’d spent the whole night playing the latest Pokémon release, and now found herself three cups of coffee deep into a strategizing session at the café. “I’ve been at this team building thing for hours, and I’ve still only nailed down Sylveon, Houndoom, and Lycanroc.” Normally not a stressor, but her exhaustion levels seemed to heighten everything. “Distract me, or help me. I’m begging.”
Rowan knew how it felt to look be exhausted. And today he was lucky enough to have it together. When she turned towards him, he raised an eyebrow, closing the notebook he had in front of him. “First off, try this.” He smiled softly, handing her a paper bag. Inside was a blueberry muffin. Originally it was for him, but downing a coffee in five minutes filled him up. “Helps get the energy levels up. I hate to say it, though I’ve gotten it, you look exhausted...”
“Oh no it’s fine i got it “ Wren called out sarcastically as she was walking and had pile of books that combined could weight more than her, but that’s not what she was worried about,what she didn’t want was the door coming to slam in her face or any of the books falling. “ Ok now, I need shots of whisky asap “ she laughed throwing the books off to the side
Rowan had been sitting just writing the thoughts that buzzed around his head. Eventually he’d figure out what he wanted to write. He sat scribbling, listening to the other speak, but was suddenly pulled completely away by the thud of books. “Oi...” He mumbled, looking at her, “Careful with the books, yeah? I’m not a book narc or anything but..... they might be important.” Rowan’s an avid reader, and the mistreatment of books gives him the chills. “If you actually needed help you should of asked.”

Alaska couldn’t help but laugh at his comment, “Which is why I can’t sleep or I’ll miss old ladies shocking us like that.”
“Honestly I was kind of hoping she’d pull some candy out of her purse...” His smile fell a bit at the thought, “Oh you know! Like.. like that lady.. with the umbrella who pulls things out of her magical bag?! Mary... uhhh...”

With a brow raise she felt the corner of her lips pulling outwards into a grin. “Hey, I don’t judge. And as long as you don’t tell anyone I hissed at you, your secrets safe with me.” She thought for a few moments before recommending a drink to him. “I could make you a virgin strawberry daiquiri? You ever had one of those?”
Rowan couldn’t help but light up a bit. Strawberries reminded him of his childhood, and it was one of his favorite drinks. “I was always told it was one of those girly drinks...” He replied, “But I am a sucker for strawberries.... just don’t tell Grayson he might like.... make fun of me for life.”

“You’re okay, Rowan.” Caroline assured him with a smile. “May I help you with something?”
“Just looking for something different to read...” He smiled shyly, “No scary stories... or poems about love and death..... then again I was bored and somehow ended up here...”
“I was visiting our in Whitmore earlier and Frat boys are the funniest things to me, like you have so many choices to do and you choose to get one everyones last nerve.. needless to say theres some beat up boys walking around campus now with no idea what happened, told them they tried to fight eachother so everytime they see eachother now they wanna fight one another “ he smiled “ it’s nothing but I think its super funny when you’re walking and then the next thing you see is a bunch of frat boys throwing down in the court yard.
Rowan didn’t know when he started or even why the other was telling this story... but he smirked softly, pretending to read his book. “So, what you’re telling me....” he flipped the page, “Is that these “frat guys” were just fighting for entertainment?” He asked, finally meeting eyes with the other, “Juicy story.... I’d love to investigate the foolishness of this frat... then again we all know how pointless that would be, no?”

“You two have a lot in common then.” He teased. “Though he seems like the charming kind of creepy, you on the other hand are just creepy creepy.” He grinned.
That one kind of hurt Rowan a bit. Did Grayson actually think he was creepy? Rowan nodded slowly and quickly took a sip of his coffee, “Yeah well... He’s cool... gave me some good books to read, I guess...”

Liam grinned and paid for the drinks. “How do you know I’m not your type? Have one cup of coffee with me. Then we can discuss wether or not to have dinner?” He smiled at the other, hopefully. He didn’t know what it was about this guy that struck him, but it did. He wanted to get to know him.
“I know my type.” He stated, taking his drink once it was placed on the counter. Rowan gave the barista a small smile as a thank you. “And darling, you don’t exactly fit the bill.” He smirked, before going over to look for a seat. Truth was, Rowan didn’t have a type at all. He was just confused why some stranger would openly walk up and flirt with him. To Rowan, someone was playing a cruel joke.
The young tribrid was standing by herself just outside of the rain. Her teeth chattering from the cold downpour. She was trying to tell her legs to move but they weren’t listening to her. She couldn’t believe that one of her best friends attacked her because of something as trivial as thinking that she had slept with her boyfriend. She didn’t want anyone to see her like this so she wasn’t even thinking about going home.
Rowan loves the rain. It was the only time he would ever find peace. He could roam and run to his hearts content, music blasting through his ear phones. He slowly came to a halt when he saw a girl just standing there. It was pouring down rain.... and she was just standing there? That’s creepy. His curiosity was known to get the best of him. Should he walk up to her? No. What if she attacked him? He was about to turn in the other direction when his conscience got a hold of him. “Fuck...” He mumbled, taking out on of the headphones, “Uh... miss...?” He called out softly, “You alright there....?”

“Do you think they take a breath during those kinds of orders?” Michie said standing behind Rowan in the line. It didn’t sound like they were to her but what did she know. She just ordered an iced tea most of the time. She couldn’t help it but she wasn’t the biggest fan of the taste of coffee.
“Probably not...” Rowan crossed his arms against his chest, “I’d say their brain is too stupid to do both at once so...” The comment was harsher then intended, but all Rowan wanted was his caffeine. And he wanted it now. “Tragic, really.”

Roxanne gasped, her mouth making an’ o’ shape when she saw him fall. “Shit shit shit.” She muttered leaning over the counter to see if he was alright. “Sorry!” She called down to him. Once he had stood up she leaned back relieved he was alright. “Yeah. Scaring the customers wasn’t’ really a sales tactic I wanted to use today…Whatever you want, its on the house…You okay?”
Rowan dusted himself off, laughing softly and nodding. “I’d say the strongest alcohol you have but... then I’d probably be falling all over the place.” He smiled slightly before taking a seat, “Anything not with alcohol but like insanely good? Don’t tell the anyone but I’m a sucker for a fruity drink.”

Grayson shifted in his seat. “Why would he be asking about me? Vampires are people too. We don’t have any weird connection things.” He bit his lip nervously. He wanted to ask Ro a million questions and admit everything, but instead he took a sip of his coffee.
“Sam’s like.. deep and artsy or whatever.” Rowan shrugged a bit, “Mysterious and kind of creepy... like would watch you from a certain distance kind of creepy.”

“Okay. How’s Friday sound? Pick you up at 8?” He gave the other a smirk that said ‘if that’s how you wanna play, I’ll play.’ The other was actually pretty close to his order. It had just about been his turn to order, so when the other was up Liam spoke up first. “Yeah, a Cappuccino, please. 2 shots of espresso, 1 pump caramel syrup, with caramel drizzle and cinnamon dolce sprinkles. Plus, whatever he’s having.” He winked at Rowan as he waited for him to order.
“Charming...” Rowan muttered, half rolling his eyes. Yeah he was cute, but Ro knew he didn’t have a shot. His eyes widened a bit when he winked again and he quickly cleared his throat, “Uh... Cold brew... iced.. milk.. extra shot espresso with one thing of sugar and uh.. toss in some caramel today.” He was nervous, why was he nervous? “Listen...” He turned to the other, “You’re not my type so I suggest you move along... that one over there seems more fitting for you.” He nodded in the direction behind the male next to him, not really pointing out anyone at all.

Arms crossed and foot tapping against the floor she waited in the line that seemed to drag on forever. She wasn’t a huge coffee fan but a french vanilla always seemed to do the trick for her. Her brow rose in amusement at what the boy in front of her had muttered in annoyance. Roxy almost hadn’t even noticed he was standing in front of her. She smirked. “Y'know some of these people have super hearing, and the ability to kill you. I’d be careful.” A playful expression on her face. “What’s got your mortal panties in such a twist?”
Rowan rolled his eyes and crossed his arms across his chest, not bothering to look at her. “If it’ll put me out of my misery... kill me.” His voice was low when he said that. And while he didn’t want that... he kind of meant it. “Well lets see... negative two hours of sleep... a caffeine headache coming on... and this line is taking forever.... you tell me?”

“I think I can allow the mysterious part since I already said you were cute, but keep trying and I might just bump you up to sexy.” She felt herself smirking about it. “Hell no, it’s the monsters out in the real world that want me to get up and moving. Too much to miss in the world than to just sleep.”
Rowan knew that there is not an ounce of sexy in him. No matter how much he tried. He could shave his head in hopes it would make sexy... instead he knew he’d more so look like an egg. “I mean people aren’t all that bad. I bumped into a lady and guess what? She apologized. Don’t see that a lot these days.”
