November 2019 - Protesters in Chile bring a bard to their riot. [video]
The song being played here, during the riots against the neoliberal Piñera government, is El Derecho de Vivir en Paz (The Right to Live in Peace), written by Chilean communist artist Victor Jara. Jara was tortured and murdered in 1973 by the right-wing neoliberal junta led by Pinochet, after the USA-supported coup that overthrew the socialist government of Salvador Allende.
