The character of Ozma showed up in the Disney film version of “Return to Oz” (which was mostly a film version of Ozma of Oz). In many ways, they did not explain who she was sufficiently well. It reminds me of the way they handled certain ideas in the DC comics movies, with sequences that were baffling except to fans familiar with the source material. 

But they got the look down absolutely perfectly, though.

A video of a sun dog. Sun dogs or phantom suns, are when there is a pair of bright spots on either side on the Sun. This happens when light interacts with ice crystals in the atmosphere, much like a sun halo. Sun dogs are best seen and are most conspicuous when the Sun is low. (Source)
