This roleplay group will explore how the American wizarding world comes to terms with the growing influence of the no-maj community. There are wizards who wish to stay in the shadows, those who wish to fight, and those who just want peaceful cohabitation. Which side will your character be on?
Here at Roanoke University magic is everywhere. It fills in all the nooks and crannies so that no student could ever be on the grounds without feeling its presence. Students who have graduated from magical secondary schools all over the world choose Roanoke to continue their magical education. There are majors for those of all walks of life and every student who graduates will be prepared to join the magical world knowing they have the proper education.
In the year 2018, when tensions are high in the no-maj world the tensions are just as high on the magical side. There is a rise of young witches and wizards who are done living in the shadows. There is equal push-back from those who fear the repercussions of revealing themselves to no-majs. Rappaport’s Law is in place for a reason. American wizards and witches have been shown time and time again how no-majs couldn’t be trusted. They had been killing and persecuting wizards and witches for centuries. How will a campus filled with students from all over the world deal with each side of the debate?
