Piece of Advice
"If you are curious to know the type of person you are, just look at the "things" you surround yourself with."
The truth is, I'm still in love with you..
A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is… A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in.

The Potter & The Clay
As we go through life, we can form ego’s or allow our pride to grow to the point where we become solely dependent on ourselves. We close the door on others, we forget to listen, live, and learn. Before I continue, I am not taking a crazy stance on anything, just merely discussing a topic.
One huge part of Christian living is humility, and since humility is the opposite of pride, how humble are we to go? This question is in a continuous cycle in my life. Yet we still need to maintain self respect, so when is being humble a problem? I feel like for years I have been looking at this topic the wrong way. We focus so much on the micro part of life then on the macro. Humility is not an all or nothing diet, that you start one day, then crash and burn. Humility comes in a process like all virtues, it is something that starts in the heart and makes its way out. It is a life long practice.
So to the point...The potter and the clay, is a saying throughout the bible, but the one I'm focusing on, is the example in Romans Chapter 9 verse 19. Paul is speaking to christians, and he is speaking about questioning God’s authority on his sovereign choice (on whom to have mercy on). We get so caught up with on our personal pride that we try and play god. Pride ultimately is what separates us from God. Think about it. We need a savior, to pay for our sins, and if we accept him into our hearts, then he does! He takes that weight, that burden, that sin.
So when we question God, and say why? why did you do this to me? Why did this happen? Why me? There is a divine purpose, whether we see it yet or not. Humility is saying, “Okay God, I don't get it, I don’t like what I am going through, but I’m trusting you on this.” We will never fully understand His ways in this life, because we are the created, not the creator.
Questioning and praying about things you don't understand are not wrong. It’s not bad to question, because questions bring clarity. Sometimes we won’t always get answers that we seek right away, so don’t let that discourage you!
Just remember who the potter is!

Question, I have to wear all black to work tomorrow, it's pretty casual. Problem is, I don't own black shoes... would you recommend wearing all black and white Common Projects, or all black with brown Clark chukkas?
Definitely go with the all white common projects. Great shoe!
