2 years and one year ago today – panel 1: June 8th 2024 paper collage „Damals war ich durchaus in dich verschossen, sagte sie“ („I did have a crush on you back then, she said“); panel 2: June 8th 2025 paper collage „Fünf Monate nach ihrem kalten Weggang schickte sie eine kurze Nachricht, ob er erreichbar sei oder nicht; er ärgerte sich über ihre gewohnte Ichbezogenheit, aber die Doppeldeutigkeit und Ironie in ihrer Frage, die ihr wahrscheinlich entgangen waren, amüsierten ihn“ („Five months after her cold departure, she sent a short message asking whether he was reachable or not; he was annoyed by her usual self-centredness, but the ambiguity and irony in her question, which had probably escaped her, amused him“).

(Ansätze zu Fluchten)“ / „I did not send – – – back her drawings to make contact again, I sent them back to emphasise for her and for me that she is not part of my biography anymore, he wrote from the first stop. (Escape attempts)“.
The second instalment in the „Rotes Triptychon“ („Red triptych“). This was later included in #5 of Leipzig based art magazine „EX!“.
4 and 7 years ago today – left: June 6th 2022 paper collage „Ohne Titel LVII“ („Untitled LVII“); right: June 6th 2019 paper collage „Du sagtest mir dieselben einlullenden, schönen Worte, die er dir sagte, nur: du wolltest weitere 1.000 Jahre schlafen, ich wollte endlich aufwachen“ („You told me the same lulling, beautiful words which he told you, but: you wanted to sleep for another thousand years, I wanted to finally wake up“). 5 years ago today: June 5th 2021 paper collage „Was diese Welt zu bieten hat“ („What this world has to offer“), number two in the six-piece vintage postcard series.
„Beim wiederholten Ansehen missfiel X alles an dem Film, die Geschichte, die Bilder, die Darsteller, und er fragte sich, was überhaupt damals sein Gefallen gefunden hatte. Noch vor der Pause verließ er den Saal.“ („Upon watching it again, X disliked everything about the film, the story, the visuals, the actors, and he wondered what had appealed to him at all back then. He left the hall even before the intermission.“)

„Jeden Abend beschwor er, was er zuvor dekonstruiert hatte (Meine Dämonen)“ / „Every evening he evocated what he had deconstructed before (My demons)“.

3 years ago today: June 3rd 2023 paper collage „Instandsetzungsbereich“ („Maintenance area“).
8 years ago today: June 1st 2018 paper collage „The next minute“. This was later published in #3 of Milano based magazine „Oltre Collage“. Although originally not intended, it can’t deny an influence of photographer Francesca Woodman, whose work I admire a lot.
„Gestehen Sie sich ein, dass Ihre Trauerarbeit noch lange nicht abgeschlossen ist, sagte jemand“ („Admit to yourself that your grieving process is far from over, someone said“).
May 31st 2026 paper collage, ca. 10.5 x 10.5 cm.
One year ago today: May 31st 2025 paper collage „Die Farben, die du mich sehen lehrtest, waren falsch, schrieb er, aber immerhin, nach deinem kläglichen Abgang sehe ich Grau differenzierter als je zuvor“ („The colours you taught me to see were false, he wrote, but at least, after your miserable dismount, I see grey in a more differentiated way than ever before“). The first work in the „Rotes Triptychon“ („Red triptych“). The text part translates as „112 depictions of destruction“.
2 years ago today: May 30th 2024 paper collage „– und Haut, weiß wie frisch gefallener Schnee“ („–and skin, white as newly fallen snow“). This was born out of affection for a certain person back then. Ah, this sweet sickness and foolishness.
3 years ago today: May 29th 2023 paper collage „Dieses Übermaß an Harmonie“ („This exorbitance of harmony“). The inscription on the right translates „hips, her skin. I love it being – by her“.
„Im Fieberwahn überkam ihn manchmal der Drang, zu verzeihen; wenn diese Zustände abklangen fragte er sich, warum er, während diese anhielten, etwas tun wollte, was er sonst, damals wie heute, verweigerte“ („In his feverish deliriums, he sometimes felt the urge to forgive; when these episodes subsided, he wondered why, whilst they lasted, he wanted to do something that he otherwise refused to do, both then and now“).
