SHE IS NERVOUS, not exactly used to…well, accepting these kind of invitations. Several times did she consider to cancel out of mere scrambled thoughts of insecurity…but in the end, she believed that letting go of the promise of BEING THERE was disrespectful. Besides, she did this not to pursue something BIG, but to simply get to know the man behind the cap. He seems INTERESTING, and so, she’s willing to see more of what he is. It is a little odd, or so she believes, the way he instructed her to come in. Telling her that he wouldn’t be at the front door to greet her, but inside. Not that he had to apologize so profusely about it, but it was GOOD to know that she was dealing with a gentleman.
“Thank you…” Her own voice is MEEK, quite SHY about his compliments, which makes her cheeks turn pink. “You don’t look…so bad yourself.” She adds with a very small chuckle, noticing the CHANGE of attire, compared to the one she saw him with, on the day they met. “It’s…uhm, a good look on–you.” She proceeds to sit down, thanking him again for pulling out the chair for her. “Th–This is…this is beautiful.” She adds, gesturing to the table’s arrangement.
She’s so innocent, and shy. He can tell. He’s been groomed to come off as confident and tactful -- charming, if you will, and though he too suffers from many insecurities he’s also learned to hide them quite well. So, often times his confidence can seem booming when deep down he’s a wreck. Here & now seems to be one of those moments. It’s been a long while since he’s had a good ole fashioned courtship. Especially from a woman who his mother knows nothing about, a woman he’d chosen on his own. He’s quite proud of that because she really seems like a remarkable one. Colour him entirely intrigued. She offers up her compliments in turn and he grins bashfully. “Thank you.” he muses. “I’m glad you like it. It is one of my favorites.” he adds, nodding to one of the off site waiters to get started on the appetizers. “I hope you don’t mind,” he begins as he returns to his seat across from her. “I got us started on a simple soup and salad. They will bring out the menu for entree shortly after.” he explains, sitting upright and adjusting his posture. “---Also my apologies for...I am sure you must have a million questions, particularly about the way I’ve had to meet you here. I want to be as absolutely transparent as I can. I understand that not everyone knows who I am, particularly Americans. I wouldn’t expect you to pay much mind at all what with the differences in politics, it can become a bit cluttered... Moving forward I truly desire for no secrets... “ this topic is not easy, especially since she’s gotten to know more about him than anyone else has managed to get without recognizing him. It’s pure magic in his eyes. He can be himself around her. -- which makes him almost terrified to explain further. “As you know, the United Kingdom houses a monarchy. And as such there is the Royal family. -- I am part of such... in fact I am in line for the throne... In that I will be King... very soon...” he practically holds his breath for anticipation.
