why the fuck do aksel and ndinelao have phantom and christine skins from phantom of the opera?
look, to their credit, these skins look good. buuuuuuuuuuuuut
these skins make no fucking sense. i'm going to be honest. the only reason that i can gather is that both aksel and erik/the phantom have facial deformities and aksel has a crush on ndinelao and these skins just look good.
but where this falls apart is that literally everything else about erik/the phantom and christine are way more fitting for two other characters and i wouldn't want erik and christine's relationship associated with aksel and ndinelao for VERY good reason. here, let me give context and paint a picture for what is the actual meat of christine and phantom's relationship and you can try to guess what characters DO fit this dynamic
a singer is obsessively in love with another singer who is cute and innocent and for a bit they are both mutually in love
the innocent singer finds out about a dark truth about the obsessive one that turns them off and makes them afraid of him
what happens afterwards is an entire situation where the obsessive singer tries to win back the affections of the singer through threatening people's lives and murder
the innocent singer, completely distressed by the situation, is consoled and comforted by another man and they end up dating which sends the obsessive one into a shitfit
eventually, the obsessive singer ends up threatening their lover's life and makes a scarpia ultimatum where they'll have to marry him or he'll kill their lover
now, tell me, what does that sound like? if obsessive didn't tip you off, that sounds like ye-jun im and dae-jung pak to me (and also javier). so why didn't they get the skins when they completely fit it?
because even aside from that, why would i want a ship that did all this crazy and obsessive shit to be given to a ship that i assume i am meant to root for? like why? the entire point is that christine and erik/the phantom are not meant to end up together because they are abusive. which, again, fits ye-jun and dae.
and like, if it's that there's too many skins for ye-jun and dae then my god use it to replace their wedding skins. these skins just scream larping and for the aesthetics bc this just doesn't really make any sense on any sense except shallow levels
