I feel lost at some points of the lore in this game man, really wish they'd show more love to their older characters instead of making a billion new ones i mean atleast some of the older characters got reworked abilities...

AITA for accidentally killing my bandmates?
I've (21M) been friends with my BFF (22M) ever since high school. We know each other better than we know ourselves and we've supported each other despite being outcasts and no one else liking us. He's so kind and caring and I am crazy for him. I hope that someday I might be able to marry him.
But when choosing career options, he had dreams of becoming a singer and achieving fame and wanted to audition to be an idol. I didn't really like the idea, as the industry is very corrupt and the work conditions are extremely horrible. But he just wouldn't let the idea go so I decided to sign on with him as a duo audition. We both get in and go through training, yadda yadda. And eventually we get into this idol group with two other boys, B and H.
And believe me when I tell you that these guys are the worst. Well, H is fine, he gets out of the way and never causes issues, if a bit annoying. But B just can't stop touching and getting up all in BFF's business, without consideration of anything around him. And he's a total phony as he will just buy trendy food and drinks to post online and then pass it off to someone else just for brownie points. He also constantly criticises our dancing or singing because it just doesn't meet his impossibly high standards. Not to mention, he is SUCH a snoop (this will be relevant later).
Things are fine for a while, just working tirelessly and we achieve fame with a hit song and we get momentum. We do meet and greets, concerts, interviews, the whole shebang. But as I said, working conditions are terrible, so I am overworked and tired and all I want to do is just have some alone time with my BFF. But however, that's something that seems to just be too much to ask for as people just keep trying to tug us into work and never giving any breaks or otherwise take up my BFF's time instead. Eventually, I can't deal with it anymore and I hint at people to leave us alone.
Flash forward, it's a hot summer evening and my BFF is out doing work late in the night, because of horrible working conditions. B confronts me and snooped around and reiterated times where I made people back off not in the nicest ways as well as possessions I own that are my BFF's that I had gotten when my BFF didn't really seem to care for them. He called me "a stalker" and said I had "creepy and obsessive behaviour". He said that he was going to tell my BFF about my behaviour and he blackmailed me into staying away from my BFF so he could date him instead. I was not having it and I got extremely furious. I sort of blacked out and next thing I know, I killed B and H.
My BFF ending up walking into the end of this mess and is now calling me a monster, but I don't think I am. I didn't do anything wrong, and this was what was best for the both of us. AITA?

i think arlo needs to stop dating, like at all. no kelvin no no one, no new seth, jackson or finley. i think he should focus on himself and lowkey detach himself from kelvin, even if only for a while. i wanna see him view himself outside of romance, always giving himself away, and kelvin would do better learning to stand back up on his own again

ngl i'm really bummed the devs did away with the fun facts and stuff at least for now because i really liked knowing more about the characters. things like ages, sexualities, fun fatcs, etc really helped the characters have more depth and made them more compelling!

Like i’m not saying the queer ships are peak writing (trust me i have a lot to say about some of them) but still it rubs me the wrong way when they say that

daybreak having “too many” queer characters is such a non-issue lmao. it’s almost as if cis/het people are already represented in literally everything and one game not having them as a majority won’t end the world

only oomfs will know who typed this but i have a very private hc that ye-jun has gender expression issues that are unresolved or unexplored in his own mind. and i don't say this as a way to like woobify him or whatever, there's some basis with the idea of what he goes through.
like i already hc he at least has identity issues of not knowing who he really is because he made dae his identity and doesn't know who he is outside of that, but i also just don't see his masculine edgy idol presentation as what he feels most comfortable in. bc aside from that is literally just performance, he truly doesn't want to be 'the idol' because that's not even his dream.
and it's sort of the basis that he never gave himself room to be like "well what if i'm not a guy, or what if i like dressing in a feminine style or even androgynously?" that is very present as a teenager because he was only ever thinking "what does dae like, how can i impress dae, what will make dae love me?" and then being forced to present in an image for marketability and then assimilating that as part of his identity because dae wants to be an idol so he will appeal to that.
it doesn't have to specifically be like transfem or whatever and you don't have to subscribe to the hc but it is my own private one
