God, I love Violet so much. Telltale did such a great job writing this anxious, closed-off character who transforms herself into a reliable leader to protect the rest of her friends. And her relationship with Clem? Phenomenal.

I mean we go from this

to this

and then her pulling out a fucking meatcleaver and protecting this stranger she’s known for a day

and then everyone wanted to kick out Clem and AJ, she not only argues for Clem to stay but also reminds people that Marlon was not some innocent kid, who was gunned down for shits and giggles.

And seeing her take on a role that she didn’t ask for and doesn’t want, just so she can protect the people she loves against an enemy none of them are prepared to face, is truly amazing and really illustrates her character development.

And this scene, the dance scene, is so vulnerable for Violet because, in my opinion, Minnie wasn’t a very supporting girlfriend (her “the Violet I know couldn’t even talk to people” is a good indicator), so Violet probably felt ashamed asking Minnie to do romantic things. Naturally she looks scared that Clem might reject her or laugh at her

and when Clem accepts, she looks so happy and relieved

and the game shows just how much Violet opens up to Clem and feels safe around her

and can I just menton how in love Clem looks at Violet

(her eyes are twinkling, this is so sweet)

I just love Violet and her realtionship with Clem and how the two of them have such a positive effect on each other.
