another thing my therapist told me is u cant change who u are but u can grow. like u can change ur behavior but u cant change the experiences that have shaped u…all u can do is learn new things and add to urself and make those demons a smaller less impactful part of who u are…u do have to carry them with u but u dont have to indulge or listen to them
your taste in people will change when you learn to love yourself

I think it’s so easy for us to just present our cares to God and then never put those cares down. I think it’s so easy for us to say, “Here are my hurts, God, here are my insecurities my fears my regrets my concerns, and this is how they are hurting me,” but then curl our fingers back around them once we’re done instead of actually releasing them. Why? Because that act of releasing that control, releasing that fear of the ‘what if’? That is an act of submission, of humility, of complete trust, and that is so against our flesh. But that’s why we must cast them down. We must release what is becoming our chains. Did He not already save us from what we are clinging to? Is God not enough to hold the things which weigh down our hearts? He is. He is He is He is.
God cares for us, and is capable of caring for us. Cast it down.
“Casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you”
