Vanderwood struggled at his restraints, flinching as someoneās fist collided with his jaw.Ā
This was bad.
He couldnāt see a damn thing but knew he was in trouble. His wrists were bound together, his eyes covered and a gag so tight between his lips that it rubbed the corners of his mouth. It would almost certainly leave marks if he didnāt get it off soon, though that was the least of his worries.
He was in a car, that much was obvious, propped up on what he assumed to be one of the back seats. He could hear the engine and cheerful pop song on the radio; could smell the stale cigarettes on his kidnapperās clothes.Ā
