All you need to know about Roku 2
So, what exactly is a Roku 2 box? A Roku box is able to stream content from your home computer/external hard drive directly on your TV. It is extremely simple to use and allows you to access some of the most renown channels around. Here is a sneak preview of the channels you are able to access:

One of those 'many more' is the Plex channel. The Plex Channel allows users to access the content - be it videos, music and photos - on their hard drive and stream it on a TV. It doesn't even have to be your TV at home....you can be away from home.
As long as you have access to the internet where you are, and the Plex Server is still able to access your content I.E. Your computer is still on/your external hard drive is still accessible, then you are able to still stream your content. You can find more information on this by clicking here.
Next on the agenda is the Roku 2's remote control. Although you are not able to play games as you can on the Roku 3, it does however share its headphone jack, something that is not included in the Roku 1. So if you are worried about keeping the neighbours up at night, you can simply plug your earphones into the jack on the remote, and listen away. Great for those, like myself, who live a nocturnal lifestyle.
Overall, the Roku 2 box is great for those who have no interest in games but still wants something better than the minimum. Personally, I believe the Roku 3 is the best value for money but the Roku 2 will still do a decent job for your everyday needs.
