WheelChair Friendly

I've been dealing with Chronic pain just over a year now. in which time my life has changed dramatically. I've gone from a non-stop, always on the go sporty person to a sofa ridden, bored-as-hell teenage girl who now relies on a wheelchair for mobility. Crazy Right?? Im on hell loads of medication, which to be honest, doesn't work that well. Im pretty lonely so don't hesitate to message. Im also into anime, glee, pretty little liars, Old cartoon network and Photography. The names Meg and im a ROLLING FIGHTER!! Waiting for the day the pain stops!!

Cineworld Wheelchair Fire Policy

Okay so as i was going into see a movie with a friend (FRIEND, Not carer!!) who was pushing my chair we get stopped by one of the staff. Didn't think much of it.  But then she opens her mouth, "Do you know what to do in case of a fire?".

I presumed she was going to tell me where the biggest fire escapes are with ramps or something.... but oh no!!

"Okay well if i just take your name and screen number, i'll write that down and in case of a fire you're carer will be expected to leave while you wait where you are and once the 'nice fireman' arrive they will lead you through another route where there is no fire. Do you understand?"

MY CARER??!! NICE FIREMAN??? DO I UNDERSTAND??

She was bent right over me, she could not get more PATRONIZING!!!

So, just in case I "didn't understand".... I have to wait in a burning building while the fire brigade is called and wait for them to arrive and fight through this fire and get to and my friend is expected to leave me in a burning building??? I get the wheelchair may.... i dont know... cause a bit of a traffic jam or something  but honestly if we couldn't just wait for everyone to leave or something or if it was a SERIOUS fire i'd just get a piggy back!!

But Sweet Jeese, Cineworld needs to change that, cause thats just shit!! She was so patronizing!! Like i was a bloody 5 year old.

I can't walk that far but everything else is fine -_-
