**Heavenly Banana Walnut Cream Cake**
Moist banana cake with layers of creamy frosting and crunchy walnuts.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup mashed bananas
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
For the frosting:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and mashed bananas.
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in walnuts.
5. Divide batter between the pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
6. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until fluffy.
7. Frost the cooled cake and garnish with chopped walnuts.
