I should be doing art of my son, he needs art more than Addy does but I mean...Shes so much fun to draw??
Heartbreak || Addy || Body Reveal
Not even a day had passed before the loud chime came over the intercom, though did it really surprise anyone it had happened so fast? With what was at stake, would you wait? The announcement was expected by now, this sickly routine had everyone by the throats. Some would think that this reoccurring practice would become mundane after a while, but it never did. “A body has been discovered!” What a surprise..The Monokuma file lead you to the carousel, its sad that an object that embodied sheer joy and blissfulness now harnessed the raw emotion of fear and crushing reality. On a seat that someone would be begging to be in now held the corpse of a classmate.
The sight before you and the rest of the crowd isnt an easy one to take in.
Adelaide Bellerose had been perched on one of the adult carousel horses, it would have been magical had she not been murdered. Delicate hands gripped the pole only with the assistance of tape, body already rigid and cold. Stab wounds mottled Adelaide’s chest, moving down her front, ending at her stomach. Daises were scattered around the base of the horse. A gesture of spite, or perhaps guilt?
Such a violent death for such a nice person, who could ever cause so much pain to such a sweet girl? All she ever wanted to do was help. Maybe that’s what got her killed.
Juniper Berries and clippings from the plum tree||Adelaide||Motive reaction
Other motives could be ignored and treated as petty threats, nothing more than an inconvenience to her. This one took the cake.
It really didn’t hit her for a moment, not until the group of people were killed. She had seen Joceline but, assumed it to be nothing more than a trick of the eye. She just missed her thats all, she missed the smile that she proudly only go to see, she missed the cups of hot coco she’d make when it was warm and she missed their chats.
She really missed their chats.
So when she saw her again there wasnt any doubt in her mind, that was her Auntie and she looked like hell. The normally tight bun that sat on top of her head was gone replaced with her hair sitting in springy curls that looked lifeless, any color in the women’s face was gone and her skirt and blouse looked off on her. From the way she was still sitting up high in the cell if really made one think that she looked a little out of place.
Addy was suddenly really cold. Why was she so cold?
Oh.
She was sitting in the snow, when did that happen? She turned to watch the commotion going on just to her right, it wasn’t clicking and it looked really blurry. A hand reached up and she was crying?
Fat tears rolled down her cheeks and were taking pigments from her make up along with them. What was going on? Joceline couldn’t die. That was her Auntie…Her Auntie could never die she was too smart for that.
Addy debated laying down in the snow or getting up and finding someone, anyone who could comfort her. Hell about now if Kosei had something nice to say to her she’d take it.
She chose the snow, maybe she would freeze and that would count in the bears game, she could find comfort later.
| Ochako | Addy | Chapter 4
“You’re too kind, Addy~ Of course I enjoy you as well! Ehehe~” She gently cackled out a giggle. “Naturally, I don’t want to press upon your own personal matters, but if you’d like to continue that conversation, I’m always going to be here to listen and talk things through with you. You can trust me, Addy.” She smiled and winked at the girl before grabbing a sandwich of her own to munch.
“You know, if you’d like protection, I’d be happy to brew you something a bit more… poisonous… Probably the same kind of thing I made for Tomo, I feel like that one would work well.” Straightforward and honest, as always. She’s a witch of her word. She went on to ask,“Keeping tabs on people? Do you have a system for that? I would love to know who’s the biggest threat right now…”
“I’m glad you feel that way, though one can’t be too kind. It will always come back for you.” She happily nibbles on the sandwich. “I wouldn’t mind. I feel as though I do owe you a bit of an explanation. And it’s nice to tell someone other than my Auntie.” She opens the tea and takes a drink before clearing her throat.
“I don’t think that would be nessicary I am well liked and feel like I have some kind of sway behind the others. I try my best to help those who need it.” She smiled. “But, that is very kind of you and I may take you up on it later. I have always had a facination with witchcraft.” She takes a nother bite chewing for a moment.
“Our biggest threat? That is a good question, all of us have our own ways and reasons for what we could do. “
Anything but Roses||Addy||Closed for Tomo
When the girl approached Tomo, it was immediately noticeable that he was devoid of the cheer that had defined him before. The knight was standing near the sinkhole, peering down into it thoughtfully. Hearing her voice from behind him, the chef turned, revealing the longsword in his hand. Also worth noting, his shield was strapped to his back. He had been this way since the trial. Always armed, and always ready.
Tomo nodded, acknowledging her presence. “Addy…” Tomo looked around the room tiredly. Even after the nights of sleep deprivation, it seemed he was struggling to get any rest. “Just… Trying to get away…” He sighed. “I moved into Hanami’s room… Everything reminds me of her, and I just.” Tomo lifted his sword, and jabbed the point into the ground. “I needed to get away from it for a while.”
He was silent a moment. “I was wrong…” He said looking Addy in the eye. “I’m still Lancelot, but… she was never Elaine… She was my queen, and without her?” Tomo brought his free hand to his face. “I just… I’m going crazy. I never…” He stopped. “You said… You said I could tell you anything, and it wouldn’t burden you, right? Does that offer still stand?” Tomo asked. Guilt was already welling up in his stomach over what he wanted to say, but… He needed someone other than Riku to know.
She was a little taken aback from his appearance, this was not the Tomo was used to. She took a few more steps towards him, careful to keep her hands up. “I understand wanting to get away from it all.” She stops about a foot from him. “She was a queen who needs you to stay strong in her absence..” She nodded at his question.
“Of course you can. I told you, we are friends and you can tell me anything you need to. I am here to listen and help.” She felt like she could at leat take a stab at what he was going to tell her but, she wanted to be sure she was right before going into any kind of speech.
“Tell me anything.”
Black roses in flower crowns||Closed for Riku
“Alright…” Riku very much appreciated that Adelaide had informed them of what she was going to do before she did it. Enough so that when she took their hand, a light pink hue dusted over their cheeks. Very few people here had shown them that level of consideration, and it reminded them of… well, they weren’t exactly flustered, but it was probably as close as they ever got.
“I know what you mean, and you’re right. I’ve had to tell him the same thing…” Riku trailed off, and let out a soft, slightly bitter laugh, “I guess that makes me kind of a hypocrite, doesn’t it?”
Still, while Addy’s advice was good, it was… easier said than done. Riku couldn’t help feeling like the situation was different for them. This was supposed to be their area of expertise, after all. They’d taken charge, they’d put themself in a position where others had trusted them, and they’d dropped the ball. Riku loathed being a failure, perhaps above all else. What was forgivable in others was unacceptable for themself.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let it ‘eat me up.’ I’m not the type to dwell on things for too long- I’m a shark, after all. If I stop moving, I’ll drown.”
Story of their life, right there.
“It's hard to follow the advice you hand out. You can easily know what the right thing to do is and you still will struggle to follow it.” She nodded along as they spoke. "Oh? Well, make sure you enjoy the smaller things you have. It's important that you don't move so much that you miss things." She shifted a bit repositioning herself again, Shorts weren't the most logical thing to be wearing right now, keeping her hold on their hands.
"Just because you're a shark doesn't mean you're indestructible. You still have a right to be upset you-You need to still move forward. "
| Ochako | Addy | Chapter 4
“Ehehe~ Never better, Addy! Good evening to you as well, I hope your day has been going well!” She cackled with a teeny weeny twitch of the eye. “Awwh, I’m flattered… I felt so bad for just leaving during our conversation a few days before everyone died, I wanted to make it up to you. And trust me, the tea is not at all poisoned. If you’d like, I’ll test all of them personally. I would never poison you, Addy.” She smiled genuinely - what a nice thing to say to somebody!
“Anyways,” She pointed to each bottle individually, “This tea is rose hip, this tea is lemongrass, and this tea is a special one I brought from home - it’s an apple lemon pomegranate blend, with a hint of ginger. You know, for stomach cleansing.” She sat down, and motioned for Addy to sit next to her.
She moved and sat down next to her. “I remember your system. Though it does make me happy that you wouldn’t poison me. I enjoy you, youre an interesting person.” She looks over the teas and picks up the bottle of the apple lemon pomegranate blend.
“This one just sounds too yummy to pass up. You don’t need to feel bad at all, I can understand having to be scarce from a conversation, though I appreciate the apology.” She humms looking over the food, what to pick what to pick. She picked up a veggie based sandwitch and brought it closer to her.
“I’m glad you are doing well, I’ve been doing as well as one can. I’m keeping tabs on most people so that helps with me feeling at least a little safe.”
Black roses in flower crowns||Closed for Riku
“Most of the evidence was… thin,” Riku said slowly, their tone becoming thoughtful again. Clearly the trial being over didn’t mean they’d stopped thinking about it. They sighed. “I should have been able to figure out the truth. It’s supposed to be part of my talent. People… people were counting on me, but I couldn’t put all the pieces together, and we were running out of time, so I picked the easy answer even though deep down I knew it was wrong.”
Now they were frowning, and their fingers were wrapped around the handle of their cane tightly enough to leave their knuckles visible under their skin. Well, visible to anyone who wasn’t blind, anyway. They probably didn’t realize.
“Hah, I don’t know about that. Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn’t. It is good to remember hints, details, things like that… but it isn’t always enough. Sometimes, even when you do remember them, you don’t realize their significance until it’s too late.”
“Don't beat yourself up, Kondou. You aren’t the only one on the case and you are not the one responsible for all of this. Well from what I can tell you aren’t.” She shifts a bit slipping the pencil she was using behind her ear. “I’m gonna take your hand alright?” She gently takes one of their hands in both of hers.
“We all ended up being wrong in that. You weren't the only one, you and Tomo are the same in this sense. I keep having to tell him not to let the weight of mistakes others make to sit on his shoulders. You need to not let this eat away at you.” She gives their hand a squeeze.
“You can’t let the events that happen in here eat at you. You won't make it out and we all failed. Speak up if you feel like something is wrong, bring all ideas forward. You never know what drove someone to do something but, if you feel like something isn’t right don't let it be silent. Someone might have more evidence to help support what lite you got.” She moved again, still holding their hand, to sit more comfortably.
"You are just one person, you can make a difference but, there are other people here who can help. You don't have to take the blame. And if you are still going to, don't take it alone."
Silk | Aiko | Chapter 4 | Closed for Addelaide
“I appreciate your attention, Addy-san,”
Aiko took a skipping step into Addy’s room, making themself quite comfortable on her bed and looking up to her with expectant eyes.
“I’ve been at a huge loss of what to do for them. It’s not like we have chocolates readily available, and there’s very few things I know they like,”
She closed the door turning to face them before dragging the chair from her desk over to sit in front of them.
“So you want to so something nice for Kondou? Well I wouldn’t go for anythign with food they dont prepare for themselves, they prefer to be the one behind their food. Understandably so. So go for anything not invloving food.” She smooths out her shorts a bit.
“Have you spoken to Kondou about your relationship status before? Just to make sure youre both on the same page?” She asked tilting her head a bit. “That might be a good stepping stone.”
Silk | Aiko | Chapter 4 | Closed for Addelaide
Aiko shifted in slightly, just now feeling the weight of their question. Their face burned red, red enough for Addy to notice. Taking a breath, they looked to the romance expert.
“Addy-san, would you perhaps…” deep breath, rephrase the question. “I wanna take Ri-chii on a romantic date, would you help me?”
She blinked at the question, a little taken aback but, she nodded. “Of course thats my job isnt it?” She laughs a little dryly before opening the door. Come on in, people find it easier to talk in private than out in the open or through a door.” she motioned for them to come in stepping away and back into her room.
Black roses in flower crowns||Closed for Riku
“I never count anyone out without evidence.” Riku replied with a small, non-committal shrug. They sound more resigned to this fact than proud of it. “I’m glad you aren’t upset though. Not that it surprises me, you’re a logical thinker as well. But quite a few people would have taken offense anyway, though none was intended.”
A smile crossed their face again.
“Well, a good memory for detail is essential to my work. And in general, really.”
“I know that it wasn't a personal attack so there aren’t any hard feelings I promise. I know you think very logically so it was a logical step that I could have been the killer based on that small bit of evidence. I would like to think that if I was the killer I would give you a case that would really make you think." She smiled with them.
"Though I don't know if my intelligence can meet up with your knowledge of murder mysteries. You’d figure me out pretty quick.” She hummed in agreement. “Its good to remember hints people leave for you. Small things like that can help you in figuring them out as a person as well. “
Black roses in flower crowns||Closed for Riku
Addy’s first responses didn’t really require much of a response, so Riku simply made a soft sound of acknowledgment and leaned back a little on the- bench? Chair? Whatever it was they were sitting on. They seemed to be in a peaceful enough mood, or as close to one as they ever got when someone else was nearby.
Even the question, despite the subject, didn’t appear to ruffle them.
“Probably not,” Riku answered mildly, without having to think about it much, though they did pause for a beat after, then continued, “That is to say, it depends, I suppose. I wouldn’t think less of you, or anyone for that matter, just for being a murderer, but I’m not an entirely objective figure. If you killed someone I cared a lot about, for example, then that would be different. Or if you did it for a stupid reason- though I don’t think you would do anything stupid.”
She snorts at the response. “It’s nice to hear that you think so highly of my intelligence, there isn't much that would push me to do something like that but, you never know. If anything I would chose someone who I feel is a danger to the group.” She stretches a bit before continuing to write. “I’m glad you don't count me out of suspicion because we enjoy each others company. I didn't think you would, you think much too logically to do that.” She continued not looking up from her writing, using her knee as a hard surface.
“It's good that you remembered something as small as me passingly saying I had a face tattoo as well, it seems you have a steel box on your shoulders.”
Anything but Roses||Addy||Closed for Tomo
It was hard to watch Tomo during the investigation, she had put a lot of effort into keeping tabs on him and Hinami's relationship, other than that she also cared about Tomo. Not in a romantic way more in a friends way and that was a weird thought for Addy.
Checking in on him seemed like the best idea, its a lot to go through and then to have people poke and prode at your loved one only to fail to find out who killed them. She sighed where in the world would she find him, that is the question. She tried places like the hospital, the aquarium, his room, soon she was down to a couple places left that he could be. She decided to guess and chose the recpion hall at random. Well luck smiled down on her today as she found the other white haired human inside the surprisingly chilly building.
She cleared her throught before speaking up, tryingher best not to spook him.
“Hey Tomo, it’s Addy...Wh-what are ya doin’ in here?”
| Ochako | Addy | Chapter 4
Ochako had spent a good deal of time preparing a fairly decent looking lunch for Addy and herself. She felt bad - a few days ago, before Suzume’s and Hanami’s deaths, she had been talking to Addy about her past, but was torn away by a minor emergency. Especially since she was feeling leagues better now, she felt she needed to make it up to Addy.
Laid out on the table was a small buffet of a few different kinds of salad, 3 different bottles of tea (all labeled with green stickers) and some sandwiches. A limited buffet, but Ochako did what she could with the ingredients at hand. She waited at the picnic area with a smile, reading up on that one flower language book she had picked off the shelf at random during their last meeting. How excited she was! Although she herself wasn’t particularly hungry.
(Unsure of Addy’s dining preferences, there were both vegetarian and non-vegetarian sandwiches)
The promise of food from Ochako was exciting, with the skills to burn water Addy was always up for free food. While waiting for the time she had been invited out for she had gotten her room a little more organized, some more notes written up, replacing some that had been walked off with, and cleaned herself up as well. A lunch date was still a lunch date even if it was just with a friend.
Making her way into the picnic area she grinned and waved as she spotted the witch. "Good evening." She stood beside the table for a moment before sitting opposite of Ochako, she looked over the spread of food and chuckled softly.
"You made an impressive spread, thank you for inviting me." She watched Ochako, tilting her head. "What kind of teas are these..How are you feeling?"
Silk | Aiko | Chapter 4 | Closed for Addelaide
It had been two days since the execution of Ayame. It was a shame to know she was gone, but even greater was the fear that a killer know lurked among them, one who was so skilled at covering their tracks that even Riku didn’t know who they were. Things were tense, and they imagined it’d only get worse.
They needed to do something to take the edge off of all of this, and their first thought was Riku. Being with Riku was a sure-fire way to make things better for them. But at the same time, how would Riku be fairing? Hardly better, probably worse. It was always a bad time when Riku felt bad, after all they were an enigma, and pretty difficult to get a read on most of the time. How could they help them feel better?
Immediately, the thought of doing something romantic popped to mind. But how were they to do this? They knew next to nothing about romance, but they knew someone who might.
Their tiny little legs promptly carried them to the dorms, where they tapped the door to Addelaide’s dorm in the classic “shave and a haircut” fashion, awaiting her response.
The last two days had been a lot of sleeping and chatting up others. She was quick to move on from the execution. Somone had voted for her and Addy wasn’t sure how to go about that...She’d shrug it off for now until she could figure out who.
Addy would start to be at least a little more careful around others, well most others. there were a few that she had picked out as..Friends, though she would be stupid to think that they could be completly trusted.
When the door opened up it reveled Adelaide holding serveral hair clips in her mouth, pulling them and hiolding them in her hand she grinned at Aiko. “Well hello!” She pushed the clips into her pocket before opening the door a little more.
“What can I do for you today Aiko?” She tilted her head a bit at their attire, she haddn’t focoused too much on them recently, did she feel bad about that? Not really, but the change in outfit was an interesting sight.
Black roses in flower crowns||Closed for Riku
“Why thank you, you certainly know how to flatter,” Riku answered, continuing to wear their shark-grin. They were pleased that Adelaide didn’t seem the least bit irritated about the fact they’d listed her as a suspect during the trial. Of course, it made sense, she was a logical sort and likely understood it really hadn’t been anything personal. They were genuinely fond of her and would’ve been saddened if the whole thing had ended up alienating her. Even if they weren’t sure she was innocent, they were glad she was alive, and still willing to speak to them.
“Maybe a bit. I’ll get used to it, but it gives everything a curious reverb,” Riku raised a hand and made a little twirling gesture, as if for emphasis. “It’s interesting. A bit eerie. I like it.”
She smiled back matching their grin. “I do try my best,” setting down a couple of her notebooks on the ground she kept one in her lap. “I’m not one to complain over a sweet complament.” She nodded as they answered her question. “Its a bit echo-y in here but, it is a neat sound.” Addy shrugged, watching some fish swim by.
“I know this is a bit of an odd thing to ask but, will you think less of me if I did murder someone? This isnt an admission of guilt or anything but, its an interesting thing I would like to know.” She opened a notebook and flipped through a couple pages pulling a pen from her ear writing as she spoke. Odd that she asked as if she will kill someone but, that's Addy.
