Gwen took a sip of her coffee as she waited for someone inside the coffee shop. She had accidentally exchanged phones with this guy who saved her life when she was about to get robbed. But it wasnât the only reason she wanted to meet him. Being an adopted child, Gwen was quite concerned on the attention her parents were giving on their child-to-be and she will be ignored or worse, be disowned by them. One of her friends suggested that maybe she should rebel, as it would definitely catch her parentsâ attention. As she heard her name, she turn back and gave the guy she has been waiting for a smile. âRonnie, right? Take a seat,â Gwen said as she offered him the seat across the table. âDo you want something to drink? Donât worry, itâs my treat,â she asked cheerfully.
Ronnie had somehow managed to switch phones with this girl, and she had asked him to meet her at some coffee shop. Ronnie usually wasnât one for places like that, but he needed his phone back, so he agreed. He didnât expect more than an awkward thank you and switching their phones back. However, she asked him to sit, and Ronnie had half the mind to make up some excuse, and leave. âYou know, if this is your way of thanking me or something, itâs unnecessary.â He said, as he sat at the table across from her, furrowing his brow at the girl.
