Please read this before voting!!
I know you may be inclined to vote for punctuation-completionist. After all, they’re a big, famous gimmick blog, and who even is daily-vitamin-an? However, I believe that daily-vitamin-an deserves the vote, for a variety of reasons.
First, they’re not just a gimmick. Daily-vitamin-an (or vitan/vitaan for short) is more than just a daily posting blog. This is a blog that’s telling an ongoing, interactive ARG with characters that you’ll easily get attached to and scenes that WILL make you cry, no doubt about it.
What exactly does Vitan have? Well, for one, there’s lesbians, which I think is a pretty good reason to vote. But if you’re still not convinced for some reason, there’s also:
- “Antagonists” with realistic motives and their own intricate backstories
- Representation of transgender characters-- WITHOUT making it the entire focus of their character
- A tragic story of lovers separated by death
- Tons of symbolism littered throughout the story
- Secret sideblogs to find and ciphers to decode
- Emotional scenes, banger lines, and excellently done twists
But maybe you’re not interested in the story-- that’s okay. In that case, allow me to tell you a little about what’s going on behind the scenes.
This may seem obvious, but it’s worth mentioning that there is somebody behind the blog, who’s been running it with love and dedication.
I happen to be a friend of the blog owner. Trust me when I say that he’s one of the nicest, funniest people that I know. And I’ve seen not only the joy of its success, but the struggle and hard work that goes into writing it all.
Vitan isn’t just a standalone in the sea of gimmick blogs. It’s part of a community, a huge community of writers and creators who all have their own stories to tell, their own lore to write, and their own characters to introduce. With Vitamin An as our unexpected representative, a vote for the blog isn’t just a vote for Vitan. It’s a vote for the community as the whole-- for our Pharmacity.
Lately, I couldn’t help but notice that many of us pharmacists-- the members of the vitamin community-- have been losing motivation for our blogs. This is devastating to see, because the community that we’ve cultivated has truly helped me through some of my darkest times.
The mod of Vitan and the rest of the community are some of the best friends I’ve ever had, and it would mean the world to us if we could win-- at the very least, we want to come on top for just a single round. I, personally, have promised to start up my own pharmacy blog again if we somehow manage to win this, and I know many others have made similar decisions. Just in the short time this poll has been up, the community has already started to come together to bring home our victory.
This is a losing battle, and we know it. But we refuse to go down without a fight. If we could just get past this round, it would truly mean everything to us.
Maybe you don't care about this blog. Maybe you think it's stupid, or just utterly unimportant. Maybe you're just particularly loyal to punctuation. That's ok. In that case, I know I can't change your opinion. But at the very least, thank you for hearing us out.
And for those of you who are into project sekai? This is the only PJSK related blog in the entire tournament. For the love of the fandom, help us win.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you could just give daily-vitamin-an a quick vote, we would really appreciate it.
