an intro, of sorts

welcome, one and all, to my oc blog!! (or one of them, anyway). i am dolly (or fae or daisy, whichever you prefer), and i am the curator of this monstrosity and the parent of all the ocs you will find here. i’m currently twenty, i’m from canada, and i go by any pronouns (because ✨ gender is a construct ✨). i am also a semi-professional worrier, a complete musical theatre geek, a disney princess wannabe, and a lover of iced coffee (or anything i can get from tim hortons, really, but iced coffee is where it’s at).

all of this having been said, i sincerely hope that you can find at least one oc on this blog you’ll love! my askbox is always open if you want to ask questions about my babies, discuss your own ocs (or even maybe some crossovers for yours and mine, wink wink), or just to chat! don’t be shy, and i hope you enjoy yourself during your visit to this blog!

QOCCOCC CHALLENGE

DAY SIX (SAT, AUG 22ND) — NEW FANDOM, NEW OC

Derry, Maine—1962. Donna Wilson and her mother Jean haven't had it easy since Donna's older brother was convicted for murder and her father fled Derry to escape to a less politically charged state. Finding sanctuary with pawn shop owner Rose, they hope to wait out the people's ire. But Donna has an ability, one that lets her know that Derry's future is not bright.

Albert "Birdie" Hackett has had a similarly rough time. Abandoned by parents too young and plagued by their own problems to take care of him, Birdie has equally found a home on Rose and Taniel's farm. Plagued by visions and the heaviness of the past, he teams up with Donna and a group of kids from school privy to the horrors in Derry to find out the truth and keep themselves and the town alive.

afterthought — what is something you know about your oc that they don't know about themselves?

Siv is a massive egg and while they do identify as genderqueer, they would probably feel a lot better about herself if she'd just get it over with and try T.

debacle — what is a dilemma they don't yet have the answer to? an ethical question, a philosophical one, or simply a decision they have to make, big or small.

Honestly Siv doesn't even know what the fuck they are. Like, how much of "Siv" is Siv and how much of Siv is the Negative Speed Force. Eobard brought them to life by putting a little piece of cosmic force in them, she accidentally gained sentience, and now she's just... here, living her vaguely eldritch life.

Sunday Morning: What was the OC's relationship with faith growing up? Jazz was raised Christmas-and-Easter Christian, but not really religious overall.

Casings: How does the OC deal with insecurity or jealousy in their platonic or romantic relationships? Jazz has a lot of trouble with insecurity in her relationships, especially with her crush on Robin. Her plan was to wait until she was a Tony-winning actress to even think about asking Robin out, until Robin finally pulled the first move after months of Jazz's nonsense.

Lilies: What does the OC think of marriage? Is marriage in the cards for them? She'd like it to be, but given that she's a lesbian in the 1980s, she isn't sure if that's ever going to be an option.

Head In The Wall: What self-sabotaging habits does the OC deal with? Are they trying to do better? Jazz has a tendency to deny reality when things get too scary and pretend like bad things aren't happening. She learned her lesson about this after being manipulated by Vecna, who preyed on her naivety and idealism, and now retains her happy-go-lucky attitude, but through the lens of reality.

Knuckle Velvet: Has the OC ever been in a toxic relationship? How would they deal with a toxic person? Yes, when she accidentally caught the attention of Vecna, who targeted her for her psychic abilities and attempted to corrupt her by manipulating her under the guise of "Uncle Henry". She figured out his ruse and confronted him in the end, but for a long time, she overlooked a LOT of red flags.

Golden Age: What does the OC regret most from their youth? Trusting so-called "Uncle Henry" and nearly getting herself corrupted by Vecna, and permanently scarred from it.

horrid — describe a nightmare they've had, or one that would terrify them.

She has recurring nightmares about losing her freedom. Not just like, going to jail, as far as losing her freedom goes, that's a best case scenario, but like, being forcibly recruited by some organization that only cares about her for her heritage and her powers.

unprecedented — tell me about a first time of your oc. the first time they did something, accomplished something, learned something, got over something.

The first time Jamie killed someone, she was 18 years old, and she had just started working for Fisk as Maya's current ASL interpreter. There was a gang war, Jamie had a massive crush on Maya, and a rival gang member was about to shoot Maya, so Jamie shot him first.

Emiko got age swap AU!

So the easy way to do this would be Sibling age swap. Emiko is Chuck's age and vice versa.

Emiko would be..very much more messed up tbh. Not only does she have Bart as a father but she would put herself under so much pressure to protect Chuck from both her own issues and Bart. She's definitely been to Oxford multiple times and has not really told anyone except maybe Eric about anything she goes through. She's just so much more isolated. She loves her brother though. She would try to be in charge of The Empire hotel to prove that she can handle responsibility as she's trying to put as much distance between Chuck and their dad as possible and lowkey wants to figure out how to get custody of him.

Chuck is arguably a lot better in this verse. He still has the arrogance you only really get when you're born with more money than god and no limitations but there's someone to Guide him to try to tell him no. He also is still blamed by Bart for his mom dying in child birth and both abused and spoiled by Bart taking a hand into "Making him a man" but no predatory behaviour and not as cruel. He's a lot less likely to see people as playthings to the degree canon Chuck does. He sometimes bucks against his sister but he loves her dearly. At the end of the day she's the only one that's showed him unconditional love.

But like ...let's expand and talk about a FULL ageswap AU.

Her and Eric are so much closer in this verse. Like they were always each other's safest friend but here they also are so much more isolated and raising their respective siblings. Eric is the only one who knows all of what she's been through and they usually meet for breakfast every day and lunch or dinner every other one specially when both their parents are ghosting them ( Serena still goes to Blaire's when Lily leaves or gets a bad new husband. Eric goes to Emikos') they're more than a little codependent and it makes things harder when Jenny comes into the picture.

Emiko has nothing against Jenny, Emiko wants to like Jenny. But Eric has been her only person for so long. She's not used to sharing. There's a lot of insecurites left over from Bart calling her a mistake her whole life, from her mother leaving her with her father without so much as a letter, that inevitbaly come up and there's friction. Especially when Jenny enters her era of wantig to be popular and is willing to use Eric for it. Emiko is much less forgiven and freezes her out.

It isn't until talks with Eric when he calls out her defensiveness gently and she tells him because he's Eric where they come from. It isn't until Jenny apologuizes and admits to some things her own. It isn't until Jenny ends up going to them in tears because her mother came back only to leave again "and Dan wasn't even surprised. He's thirteen years old and he's not surprised our parents can't get it together" that she realizes they have more in common than not. That they become Jenny&Emiko&Eric

Dan and Chuck are still best friends, and Lily still marries Bart so Emiko inadvertedly becomes "the adult" ( tm) of the teen nonjudging breakfast club. She's still not sure how that happened given she's such a mess but Nate hangs out there lot and given she and Eric are ridicousloy codependent she's more aware of Serena's partying issues than her mother is and Blaire neglected by her mother and left by her father gravitates to her too and her home ends up becoming the hangout unless Chuck is in a fight with someone. I can see her getting a degree in psychology but specializing in at risk teens, rather than the focus area she picks in her canon which is focused on how to prevent the damage done to and done by Chuck.

Their favorite Disney/Pixar movie: August's favorite Disney movie is Robin Hood and his favorite Pixar movie is Brave.

Their go-to style of clothing: August is generally dressed in a flattering and kind of old money way. He's rarely, if ever, dressed in lazy attire - in that regard, he never really left his living era.

Their favorite vacation memory: His favorite vacation memory will always be the first time he got to go to Italy. Had he not wanted revenge against Stefan, he would have settled down there.

Their favorite fairy tale: He's always really liked Red Riding Hood!

One hidden talent of theirs: He speaks several different languages fluently, but keeps it in his backpocket in case he needs leverage in a foreign country and they mistake him for just another American hick that can be fucked with.

One thing they've kept since childhood days: When he left home after having been turned, he took a chess game he used to play with his father.

Their favorite holiday memory: There was one Christmas season where he and his sister Phoebe got involved in the festivities in town and watched a group of their friends perform Christmas songs while they got to drink hot chocolate. They bring that day up whenever they fight too hard to bring them back to base.

Their first crush: August's first crush was a neighbor boy, which he never brought up at the time, of course.

Something they would never admit to anybody: He often wishes he could have died when Rebekah first turned him.

Perverts: What is the OC's relationship to sex and sexuality? Do they have a healthy relationship with it, or are they more ashamed? Tati's got a pretty healthy relationship with sex. She's pretty casual with it, but it's not a huge part of her life either way.

Punish: What will always make the OC concede in an argument? Being genuinely proven wrong about something. Tati does not want to look stupid.

Houseofpsychoticwomn: What is something that was permanently taken from the OC, either by time, fate, or another person? Her favorite T-shirt was used in an emergency medical situation as an impromptu bandage because Spider-Man had been thrown through her kitchen window while fighting Fisk's goons, and he'd been shot and was hiding in Tati's bathroom when she got home.

Vacillator: What is the OC's greatest appeal as a potential romantic partner? Tati is funny as hell and extremely protective, and will always try to be there for the people she loves when they need her.

Onanist: Does the OC always know their loved ones care about them, or do they struggle to feel loved? She knows her worth pretty well.

Pulldrone: What traits lie at the OC's core self? Ambition, intelligence, kindness, courage

Etienne: What is the OC running from? Is it a person? A feeling? A truth? The fact that her current living situation is unsustainable and she is going to eventually have to move.

Thatorchia: Does the OC believe they know what will happen to their consciousness when they die? Are they afraid? Tati is a lapsed Catholic, but she's still fairly confident that she's going to heaven, because she's tried to be a pretty good person, even if she doesn't really go through the ceremonial motions of faith much anymore.

Amber Waves: What habits does the OC struggle to let go of? Tati started smoking in her Junior Year of high school, and she's tried to quit multiple times, but keeps relapsing.

Dex got On The Run AU!

When the Barrier to the Isle briefly goes down during D2, Dex Tremaine and Trevor Badun decide to sneak off the Isle. Unsure of what they’re going to do after they reach Auradon, the two make a pact to continue their friendship and stick together no matter what.

Dex knows that he’ll probably be missed. He’s one of two grandsons and he can always count on Dizzy to miss him. But, the temptation of leaving the Isle was too great.

Dex and Trevor spend much of their time on the run hiding in motels and pubs like Corona’s Snuggly Duckling. They’re two eleven-year-olds, though, so it’s not easy to hide.

They’re eventually caught and sent to Auradon Prep to attend school. No one can bring themselves to send either boy back to the Isle.

Megan got Historical AU!

The Honorable Miss Megan Allen is headed into her fifth season on the marriage mart. The daughter of a baron, Megan isn’t exactly an in-demand lady. She’s a little too outspoken and doesn’t care much for the rules of courtship.

Lord Jamie Tartt is known as an incorrigible rake, who puts himself into all sorts of sporting competitions that aren’t exactly appropriate for the son of an earl. Oh well, Jamie doesn’t care.

And then Jamie’s father comes down with an ultimatum — become engaged by the end of the season or be completely cut off. So, Jamie has no choice but to enter the marriage mart. He’s incredibly popular amongst the ladies of the ton, with all the eligible mamas throwing their unwed daughters.

Megan takes no interest in Jamie, one of the few ladies who display no interest in him. So why does Jamie Tartt keep engaging her in conversation and taking dances (especially the waltz and supper dances) on her dance card?
