Estrella Morente - Tangos de Pepico I’ve certainly had my fill of flamenco this month. I was lucky enough to have a local guide to take me to some utterly breathtaking shows around Seville. The guitar, singing, palmas and dancing blew my mind night after night. I’m now bursting with creative energy and can’t wait to get my head down and crack on with my own music now I’m back on sweet English soil.

Estrella is flamenco’s sweetheart and her name literally means ‘dying star’. Extravagant, huh? Well since I’ve been in Seville I’ve made friends called Desire and Immaculate - imagine calling a baby those. Anyway, I’m a big fan of this catchy number and I hope you enjoy this bit of flamenco tonight. - Rosie

Hank Williams - Long Gone Lonesome Blues

One of my biggest vocal challenges I’ve faced in a while was learning to sing this song in a day last week. Just check out the yodel on the chorus! I don’t think there are many timelessly cool and personally moving songwriters like Hank Williams. He wrote a good number of songs that have been sung by all kinds of people, including Hey Good Lookin’. I’m also a growing fan of his grandson’s music, Hank Williams III, since seeing The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. Hank tragically died at twenty-nine, which goes to show that you don’t need a long life to acquire a legendary wisdom and eloquence, and earn a title like ‘The Hillbilly Shakespeare’.
