| SPOOKS AND KOOKS |
Itâs a cauldron full of fun and scares. Mix in slimy worms, possessed dolls terrifying outfits, and there you have it - the perfect potion for a thrilling October 31st.
Witches and vampires are boring. Zombies? The apocalypse was so last year. Mummy and ghost costumes should be much more than just wrapping up in toilet paper, or hiding under a white bed sheet. If youâre small, then youâll be perfect for a broken china doll. If you donât want to wear makeup, then try wearing a mask. Some other ideas are teasing or greasing up your hair, painting yourself as a sadistic clown, gluing yourself to a friend like the conjoined twins - Bette and Dot from American Horror Story, or looking extra-terrestrial by wearing some unnatural coloured contacts.
Worms, Anyone?
Trick or treat goodies are definitely a must and here are two great ideas. Broken Glass Cupcakes are decorated with caramelised sugar that look just like real glass and best of all - theyâre completely edible! If you want to cheat and save time, just buy some red velvet cupcakes and decorate the top with the âbroken glassâ.
If youâre looking for something more adventurous, try making jelly worms! All you need to do is stretch and bunch up lots of straws into a large jug, pour in dark brown jelly mix (try mixing blue and orange jelly together) and then set it in the fridge for a few hours. Then squeeze them out of the straws - theyâll look just like slimy worms!
Fright Night
Find some guts to watch the terrifying new movie Annabelle. Prepare yourself for some horrifying thrills! Follow up with where the spooks all began in the Conjuring. After some more thrills? The Ring is the perfect blend of mystery and horror, where a journalist must investigate a mysterious videotape which seems to cause the death of anyone within a week of viewing it. Watching it with the lights on is highly recommended. Or not.
