                                yusei had been counting down the days since aki had told him the day she was returning to neo domino city. he made sure not to make any plans for that day so he could spend the whole day with her. he got up early so he had enough time to get ready and meet her at the airport. he wanted to be the first to welcome her back ( not that many of their friends remained, but still ). it was selfish, but yusei wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. 

                                               finally seeing her in person after so long ( it felt like an eternity ) took his breath away. had she gotten more beautiful in her absence? it was something he wasn’t brave enough to say, but he had no shame in knowing that he was so lucky to befriend a woman so beautiful inside and out. 

                                               “ aki … ” yusei was overwhelmed with so many emotions – seeing her face-to-face, hearing her, being right in front of her and not just hearing her voice over the phone … he wanted to reach out, to hug her, but he held back. he didn’t want her to worry, and he didn’t want to push her or give her the wrong idea ( whatever that idea was ). “ welcome home. ” he smiled back, though it couldn’t compare to hers. “ i’m glad to see that you’re still smiling. ”

                    his smile made butterflies flutter in her stomach, making her feel pure joy.  he had grown, not too much but enough that she noticed over course.  though, his smile didn't change at all.  it still managed to make her feel so giddy on the inside.  

                     " of course.  you told me to keep smiling, it would be wrong of me to deny such a request. "

                    with a small laugh, she took a step closer.  they were older, both of them had matured so much in their time apart, but they were still close.  whatever someone would call their bond was still there, she felt it.  with that bond came her ability to read him pretty well.  on the phone over the years, she could tell the loneliness was getting to him and even now in person, she could tell.  her arms quickly wrapped around him, pulling him closer both for herself and for him.  her face happily leaned against him, closing her eyes a bit.

                      " sorry.  it must have been lonely, huh?  i know i'm not all of our old friends, but hopefully, i can help even if it's just a bit. "

                      it was odd, being so nervous to come back to neo domino city, the city that taught her both suffering and complete and utter happiness.  perhaps it was the fact she had been gone for so long, oblivious to if it had changed at all in her absence.                         after passing through the doors of the airport, she took a deep breath, taking in the air of her home.  her eyes quickly caught sight of a very familiar man, a smile forming on her face just from seeing him.  sure, she had talked to him on the phone ( heard just how lonely he was even if he wouldn't admit it ), but it felt like the last time she saw him was a lifetime ago.  she had to fight the urge to run over and hug him, not wanting to embarrass herself in front of him.  sure, they had that moment before they left... they spoke all the time over the phone...  her feelings ran so deep, she was afraid of misstepping and ruining any sort of relationship they had.  instead, she offered him a warm smile before speaking up.  

                       " i'm home, yusei. " //  @celenova

                      " taken in by turbo dueling?  it's quite the sight to see. "  

                          aki had been around enough to know when someone was just a fan or a tourist.  of course, she couldn't blame him.  she too had been in awe of it and it's duelers before getting her own license.  walking next to him, she looked up at the tv screen playing a replay of an older tournament.

                      " have you ever seen one in person?  it's a lot different than it is on tv. "  // @fusingfanatic

          AKI WAS CORRECT IN BELIEVING she wasn’t told that a lot ;alice never mentioned it though. if she knew she did the mission without any faults, that should be enough. at least that’s what she believed until aki said those words & even placed a flower in her hair as a gift.

          ❝  s-sweets, i like sweets ! uhm, can we eat together ?  ❞

                     " yes, of course!  it's better to enjoy food with other people after all. "

                         a warm smile was offered to the girl before she stood up, making her way to the kitchen.  she could only hope there were some already made... that archer liked to cook and bake, right?  if not, she was sure she could make something, perhaps even do something together.

                      " do you have a favorite sweet or food?  we can look for those first. "

Fate Zero AU? Aki could be Iri and Yusei could be Kiritsugu.

At first I didn’t know who they were. I don’t even watch Fate Zero. Then I googled them and I saw this Kiritsugu was wearing a suit and decided I just wanted to see Yusei wearing that, and this was the result

“If the familiars targets anyone with functioning magical circuits, then using me a lure to bait them works. It reduces the risk of anyone else getting attacked and we can set up a trap or two if you think we’d get overwhelmed!” 

He tried to reason with her but from her reaction, she seem set to shoot down any idea where he placed himself at great risk. 

“It’s faster than hunting them one by one, plus who knows how many people could be attacked while we’re dealing with just a handful of them!” 

                   " and just how many do you think will be lured out?  1... 2... 10, 20?  while it is faster, it's riskier. "

                      admittedly it would be easier with an assassin with them, but amongst the two of them, they could surely be somewhat sneaky.  

                    " fast doesn't always make for the best plan.  i'm sure we could think of some other alternative between the two of us. "

                  i need to think more about her avenger verse.  it's aki like pre-signers.  when she hated the world, everyone in it, and enjoyed bringing pain onto others.  just gotta think about what to make her noble phantasm and such

They startle at the hand on their shoulder, having not noticed anyone approaching, absorbed as they were with the computer screens before them. One of the monitors is displaying a number of readouts, a Wikipedia page on Iranian monuments, and a document full of Ritsu’s typing, and the other monitor is mostly taken up with Stardew Valley. Clearly, mostly important work is being done here.

“Huh? It’s not that late, I haven’t been awake that long, I think.” Honestly, they have no idea. “I’ll be fine for another few hours. Right? It can’t be much past noon.” It’s way past noon.

                  " no arguing. "

                        her hands let go of their shoulders, only to rest on back of their chair.  so... they gave her no choice.   ritsuka still in the chair, she began to push them all the way to their room.  of course, she would come back to save all their work.  ( luckily, she was on of the servants that understood technology. )  what was the most important thing on her mind was getting them to bed first.

                  " doesn't matter what time it is.  it's not like you pay attention to it anyways.  it's sleep time. "

                     that was an understatement, she knew it was a bad idea.  something told her that he wasn't going to give up on the idea though.  luckily, she was just as stubborn as him.  resting her hands on her hips, she shook her head a bit.

                  " alice, you did well today. "  

                      something told her the other wasn't told that enough.  and since she was still a child, aki wished to give her all the support she could ( all the support she was deprived of ).  bending down in front of the other, she opened her palm to reveal a bright red rose, which she carefully placed in the girl's hair.  

                   " get some rest or have some sweets to celebrate, okay? " // @wonderfallen

                   since there are no decks or cards in fate, her powers are plant based.  controlling the plants around her, creating plants from her mana, and making familiars from plant life, etc.

                      also her noble phantasm is black rose dragon.

                  " and just why are you still awake? "

                       sure, she was aware that being the only master left had a lot of responsibility, but they also needed to take care of themselves.  with a sigh, she reached over to grab their shoulder to pull them away from their work.
