i don’t animate very often so that’s why you rarely see video artwork from me… waow. it’s almost been a year since the pitbull terrier animation haha. animation is a really slow and tiring process for me; the bait n switch one i just finished was started way back in november, actually, and i had worked on it on and off since then. i did in fact have a lot of fun animating for bait and switch saiou, even if it killed my hand lmao.

one of my favourite things to do in any artwork of mine is add tiny, subtle details. in bait and switch, you can see that ouma’s eye highlight is in the shape of a heart as he drags saihara’s chin upwards (as the lyrics say “bait”). saihara’s blush slowly grows at this moment, but disappears the moment a knife is drawn on him. during the line “full of shit,” it’s ouma’s turn to blush and you can see as his manic grin grows, so does the pink on his face. additionally, saihara’s gaze is full blown and wide during “bait,” not daring to blink lest he miss a beat; his attention is fully on ouma. when the knife is drawn, however, he blinks back into reality, shattering the illusion (but is ouma’s advances really an illusion? 🤔)

it makes me really happy to see that people like my animation work so much, so thank you for your support 😚🫰
