Title: I am looking forward to joining you, finally.

Genre: Mpreg, partially canon compliant

Pairings/Characters: Malex, (background Echo and small snippit of Noah/Isobel), mainly Isobel and Kyle but others make appearances, Jesse and Flint Manes

What kind of Beta I am looking for: right now I’m stuck on a few plot holes so help with that would be amazing, but also general story flow, cheerleading, editing 

Length:  currently 27k, has about 10k left to write

Summary:  While searching for a cure for Isobel, Michael is feeling sick, tired, and in pain. After freeing Isobel from the pod he finds out he is pregnant. Alex promises to stand by him but is he the only one? Noah is still evil, Jesse Manes is the devil.

What I won’t beta: dub con/rape, incest, underage sex

Pairings I will beta: Malex, Maribel

Pairings I won’t beta: I would prefer not to beta for Miluca, Echo, Mylex or Kylex (though I have in the past, so I will help if someone is in a jam).

Strengths: sounding board, plot, flow, summary, decent with grammar/punctuation/spelling. Great at cheerleading *cough* being pushy *cough*.  I have professional experience working with PTSD/mental health & active duty/retired military. I’ve lived all over the US (for whatever that’s worth).

Length of the fics I will beta: My preference would be under 10k, but I’m usually game for whatevs.

What the writer should know: I read pretty quickly and I love to give compliments. My edits can be a bit tough, so just let me know if that’s helpful or not (I can always throttle back). I can get most stuff marked up with feedback within 1-2 days, but my availability is in the evenings and on weekends.

I’m here to be an extra set of eyes and a fresh look so your story is as polished as can be.

Fest Fic: fluff! Likely referencing or depicting abuse (past or current) and may have difficult subject matter laced in but aiming for a happy ending. Beta for this should not have requested for the fest because who knows? It might be yours. (Requesting because fast writing = mistakes!)

Somewhere Warmer: AU where in Michael hasn’t been west of the Mississippi since he was about 8 and Alex has been working with aliens since he was twenty and certainly isn’t expecting a single dad to blitz into his life fresh off accidental murder of a step father. Warnings: murder, abuse, possible alien torture—although no scenes planned yet

Floorboards: AU Alex and Jenna both don’t want to be interns for Jesse Manes at some middle of nowhere government hell-hole but they’re going to make the last summer before college work. (Like the other there may be references or depictions of abuse and alien torture although no plans for descriptive scenes as of yet)

Pairings/Characters: all of the above are Malex, no Maria hate although she hasn’t been featured as of yet.

What kind of beta I am looking for:  Really any kind. A cheerleader would be helpful for the first as it has a due date. I am always looking for help with grammar, spelling, plot and style. I am very used to critique so it doesn’t bother me but knowing what is good with the bad doesn’t hurt.

Fest Fic: >10K Somewhere Warmer: 15-20k Floorboards: 10k+

Short Summary: I am working on 3 fics with one fest fic taking priority. I do tend to touch on, if not dive into, darker themes. While none of the stories above involve rape or otherwise please measure your own comfort with stories that will touch on abuse and murder. While I will provide warnings for each story or chapter I may miss something.

Note: I tend towards 1 chapter per fic per week but the fest fic will be done as a long 1 shot and have to be finished before the other stories can progress due to time constraints.

What the writer should know: I’m not a native speaker. I can do both publishing style editing and general more positive editing, depending on your experience with betas and writing, and I am pretty good at adapting my feedback to what works best for you. I try to always give positive and encouraging feedback. Also if you need anything translated into German (or the other way around) or you write a history AU that touches on WW2 I’m pretty well versed in that.

What the writer should know: Most of my experience comes from editing research papers, so this would be a first in editing fiction. My past military experience is in the army but there’s enough general overlap, and close family with prior Air Force experience, that I can tell when something would most definitely not work.
