I’ve recently heard people claiming manson is a pedophile - is this because of his relationship with Evan Rachel wood?

i mean people have thrown this claim around for ages, since the mid 90s lmao

imo there’s nothing to suggest manson is a pedophile. he probably slept with a few girls of Questionable Age back in the ol spooky kids days but fucking a 16 or 17 y/o in yr early-mid 20s doesn’t make you a pedophile, it just makes you a creep with shitty ethics.

as far as his relationship w/ erw goes, she was 19 when they started dating, so she was a legal adult. of course there was a 15+ yr age difference, which could be described with any number of terms such as creepy, unhealthy, predatory, manipulative, inappropriate, but it’s not pedophilia. i find the whole lolita thing with them super fucking creepy and gross but like. they were both adults. nothing illegal about it. just in questionable taste.

i believe within the last 5 years he was fucking around w/ an 18 y/o?? which, again, creepy/predatory/gross, but not pedophilia bc she’s legally an adult.

anyway i’m sure the people claiming he’s a pedophile are using the tumblr definition, which is so fucking misconstrued from the actual definition that it’s offensive. two adults with an age gap isn’t pedophilia. there’s nothing to suggest manson is into children. he’s just a typical gross man who prefers women younger than him. but that’s like 95% of men. so.
