“Does anyone ever respond when you say that, Doug?”
"—-.."
...
"Not often. But it is a great way to bring some school cheer around campus."
“When you’re down! Turn that frown into a smile!” "AND OGGY OGGY OGGY!!"
This scene made me so emotional bc it went all the way back to series 2 and the cassie exam scene was the best.
Doug + Oggy oggy oggy!
If you feel like a mug, and could do with a hug, don’t give a shrug, dig into your problem with Doug!
"Nobody ever pays me in gum. :("
”Not a student anymore, Doug! I’m a man grown! Well, as grown as I can be. Still kinda short… Okay, a lot short.”
”Of course! I’ve actually been dancing in London for a few years now. My show just finished the other week, so I’m here visiting family.”
”Why do you ask?”
"You were— are, a very talented dancer, Maxwell. It'd be a shame to have not use your talent. I hope your family is very proud of how far you've come— dancing in London, how wonderful."
"Ah! The shows! I haven't gone to one in the city in years, how is that, exactly? Do you get a lot of free time out there or are you a busy dancer bee?"
“…Oh yeah… You right! Oggy and all that stuff!”
“Uhh… Was that something we learned at orientation or..?”
"The orientation leaders should have introduced you to the cheer." "Give it a go, son! Reply Oi Oi Oi!!"
"Oggy Oggy Oggy!"
[ finally releases Doug from her grip, and takes a step back ]
”You too. Really. I didn’t know you were still here. I didn’t recognize any of the others, so I thought maybe you’d left as well.”
“Ah. Mr. Blood… Lovely name. But that’s very exciting for you! Congratulations.”
”I’m here because I need some copies of my final grades. I kind of… left before I could get them. Never bothered then. But I’m applying for a job now, and they were curious. So… here I am. Think you could help an old friend? I’d appreciate it.”
"Why of course, Cassandra! I'll be happy to help!"
"The schools never seen to let go of any student files so you should be in here somewhere!" He spoke softly as he sat down to sort through the computer, figuring out where exactly her files were and which advisor to go to. "Cassandra Ainsworth," he mumbled, filing through and searching.
"I'm sure you're here somewhere—" the banter only to fill the void of silence, "it's good to see you— you know, if you ever seen a letter of recommendation or need me to vouch for your, attach my number to the application."
"Yes! And it was brilliant, Doug… Er, besides the stalker girl, like, ruining it, you know… But hey, I was brilliant!”
”What’re you up to now? Still school-ing?”
"Right."
"It was quite a show!" "Yes, still at Roundview! Making sure you students are doing well."
"Do you still dance, by any chance?"
"Doug!"
”I… How’ve you been?”
[ hesitates for a moment, but then darts forward; embraces him in a tight hug ]
”It’s so good to see you! Since when are you Head of the school?”
He excepted the embrace, Cassie had always been one of the students he'd be closer with.
"I've been great Cassandra! It's a very pleasant surprise to see you."
"Mr. Blood has been taking time off, due to some family issues— I'm merely filling in for him in the meanwhile."
”D-Doug, yeah?”
"Maxxie Oliver. You, uh, you remember me?"
"Of course! Maxwell Oliver. I wouldn't dare forget!"
"The dancer! Yes! You were in the musical, ah! The one I helped to direct, nonetheless."
"You’re still here, Doug?"
"Just looking to see if it’s any less shit yet."
"That's the spirit!"
"The school has been doing quite well recently. Our averages have excelled nicely over the last few years. In fact, it seems to be in fact— how you said, less shit."
" Oh, what’s the fuck is this ? Oggy to you too.”
— He supposed that was as close to an Oi as he was going to get.
"Oi."
"Doug, are you quite finished? I just stopped round to pick up my coursework." Charlie crossed her arms across her chest and arched a brow. She didn’t have the time or the patience to ‘oi oi oi’ along with him today.
... "Right."
No one ever wanted to oggy oggy oggy with Dougie Dougie Dougie.
"I've got your coursework settled over..." he pulled open a drawer, sorting through quickly for her name until— "Aha! Here you are, Charlie!"
