The Beauty We Portray - A Personal Reflection
Many tend to forget that the view we and others have on ourselves is merely subjective. Therefore, two people won't describe you the same way. And those descriptions will never mirror the one you give yourself. Thus, is there really a true objective description that we can link to a person? I'm not really sure about that. Prejudices and perspective are two biased concepts; they depend on the observer, on the individual.
Despite this, there's a pattern that tends to repeat itself, not always, but often. Many people tend to describe themselves in a more negative way than others perceive. I believe it might be due to the strong influence of beauty standards that our society indirectly forces us to follow. But just as descriptions, those standards are mere subjectivities. What really is beauty? Is it something tangible? Perhaps achievable? I don't think so.
The concept of beauty is changeable, perchance even arbitrary in some way. We will never be able to lay a firm description on this concept.
After all, you know what they say; beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
A dumb reflection I had while eating some crackers today.
not now kitten. daddy's realizing that the scene he invested 1000 words into could be significantly improved but only if he started over from scratch
my daily affirmation as an author
I love tattoos because being an adult is hard, and I deserve some damn stickers.
Don't use AI to write. Use cocaine like a real author.
