what makes hannibal especially early episodes so entertaining is that will graham has the flavor of autism that gets upset when no one else can read his mind and he has to actually verbalize what he’s thinking and people read him wrong if he doesn’t and he gets snippy with them after he “realizes” they “don’t understand him”. like he shouts his analysis at jack crawford in the bathroom like he didn’t keep it to himself up until that point. he snaps at jack crawford for bringing hannibal into the equation because jack doesn’t ask- which will needs direct questioning to offer information. that’s why he and hannibal are so disgustingly co-dependent so fast and why he claims to not like hannibal at breakfast- it’s because hannibal doesn’t need him to tell him what’s what, hannibal can read will to filth within five minutes of saying hi, and hannibal asks will a lot of questions. hannibal also doesn’t rise to will getting snippy the way jack crawford does, either because he doesn’t take it personally or because he knows when will is getting close to it and then anticipates it and can either mentally walk himself back from it or just brush it off.

I honestly think the fall and the entirety of s3 finale was SPECTACULAR and one of the best endings in the industry. Genuinely don’t mourn s4 as hard as I should because I feel so satisfied with what we have already. The awe, love, and certainty conveyed in the act of pushing Hannigram off the cliff by their own volition—the themes of fate and judgement entangled, indistinct; one with the sea. The soundtrack and beat dropping. Hannibal’s compliance with Will’s wish. The EMBRACE. The hunger, the feral and primal need; the way they resembled hunting partners. Animals. The rawness in the erotic. So defiant and different yet one and the same like the rings of an oaken tree. The borders being flirted with and passed like a house threshold. The way Hannibal’s eyes linger on Will’s lips… Will taking initiative and pushing Hannibal against him. Will burrowing his head against Hannibal’s chest and neck—just how like Hannibal in Mizumono couldn’t stand distance and had to soak up Will’s scent before adieu farewell. The culmination of it all. Of the ebbing waters and the rebirth and transformation and metamorphosis and the need and the hunger—. Gosh, the intimacy. I honestly felt so blown away and yk what.. whatever hannigram does after will be between them and im sometimes ok with that. Not fine but ok. But then other times i rot and cry and scream and ROT
