I've had the stray thought that "bitch" is a gendered insult, though maybe not in the way you think.

when bitch is used as an insult against men, it's almost always in the form of "little bitch." the implication is weak, cowardly, vulnerable, a 'beta' 'pussy'. A man who is too much like a woman.

When it's used against women, it's "she's such a bitch." The implication of a woman who is too loud, too brash, too disruptive, too assertive, too much like a man.

'bitch' is the insult of "you are performing your assigned gender incorrectly"
