â« If you want anything specific tagged, please comment below with what -- I have a short-term memory so it will be easier for me to reference this post occasionally and refresh my own memory about it when I need to.
â« It should be noted that all of the muses present here are intended for anime/manga roleplay and I do not use real person or live-action FCs for any of the characters I write - this is just according to my own tastes and personal preferences.
â« I don't write underage muses; all of the muses here, including canonically underage muses (example: Rebecca, Himiko, Jin, etc.,) are aged-up for my comfort; mun has IRL issues regarding infantilization in home life and is thus a bit uncomfortable writing young muses, but if we interact regularly and you would specifically like a thread set in that era (high school setting/childhood friends, etc.,) for character exploration purposes, I may be inclined to oblige. It depends, so just ask.
-- That being said, if the 'aging up' aspect puts you off for whatever reason, you don't have interact with those muses, or are welcome to simply not follow this blog of course. Curate your own comfort, I always say.
My tagging system goes as follows:
(*OCs will always feature an "[OC]" attached after their names)
[Origins]
Long before he was cursed with immortality, Fyodor was a man of faith. A scholar of theology, perhaps a monk or a priest in training, he lived by the unshakable belief that divine justice was absolute. He saw the world for what it wasâa wretched place steeped in sin, where the weak succumbed to corruption and falsehoods. Yet he believed it could be cleansed, purified, if only one had the resolve to see God's will carried out without hesitation.
But faith is always tested.
Fyodor lived in an era of bloodshed and war, a time when men claimed righteousness yet faltered before their own vices. He had always sought to purge the world of wickedness, believing that morality was not a matter of sentiment but of necessity. However, his test of faith came not in the form of war or temptationâbut in death itself.
One fateful night, he fell victim to a vampireâs biteâan ancient, malevolent creature that sought to reduce him to nothing more than a mindless beast of the night. But when he awoke, something unexpected happened. He was not lost to mindless hunger, nor stripped of his intellect. His body was changedâsharper, stronger, eternalâbut his mind remained wholly his own.
At first, he despaired.
Was this not the ultimate sin? Had he been forsaken? Condemned for arrogance, for daring to believe himself worthy to judge others? He fasted in vain, prayed until his throat was raw, but the hunger never faded. The light of day burned him. The church, which once welcomed him, seemed distant and cold, as if its doors no longer opened to creatures like him.
And thenâhe had a revelation.
This was not a curse. This was a gift.
The Lord had not abandoned him. No, He had chosen him.
The scriptures spoke of angels who descended upon mankind with divine wrathâbeings of terrifying power, messengers of both salvation and destruction, beings fearsome and terrible to behold. Fyodor came to believe that he must be one such angel. Perhaps fallen, perhaps forced to tread the filth of the world, but chosen nonetheless. The weak-willed clung to hollow morality, too fearful to do what was necessary, but he would not waver.
If no mortal man could execute divine will without succumbing to weakness, then he alone would bear the burden. He would cleanse the worldânot with sermons, but with sharpened claws and crimson-stained fangs.
And so, Fyodor Dostoevsky stopped fighting his nature. He embraced it.
[The Divine Curse]
Powers & Limitations:
Fyodorâs vampirism is no mere afflictionâit is a gift he has refined into something more, something almost transcendent. Unlike the mindless beasts that lurk in the shadows hungering for their next feast, he is something else entirely.
[Abilities & Strengths]
Hunger Control â Where other vampires are slaves to their thirst, Fyodor has mastered his. He feeds only when necessary, never indulging beyond what is required. Some suspect he can resist the hunger longer than others through sheer force of will.
Hypnotic Influence â His voice is a whisper in the mind, a suggestion that lingers and festers. He does not need brute strength to break peopleâhis words alone are enough.
Unlike traditional mind control, his presence itself instills a deep-rooted unease. Prolonged exposure to his gaze can plant seeds of doubt, guilt, and terror, as if one is standing before divine judgment. Many confess their sins before he even lays a hand upon them.
Unnatural Grace & Speed â Fyodor moves like mist through candlelightâimpossible to predict, impossible to grasp. He is never where one expects him to be.
Pain Suppression & Regeneration â Wounds that would kill a man are nothing more than fleeting inconveniences. He does not flinch, does not recoil. Suffering is entirely endurable.
A Cursed Holy Presence â A cruel irony: despite his nature, he still radiates something almost divine. He can walk into a churchâalbeit not without painâhold a cross, read scripture without faltering. To the devout, he may seem like a prophet, a saint. Only too late do they realize the truth.
Shadow-Walking & Mist Form â He moves unseen, slipping through the darkness as though he were part of it. He can dissolve into mist, seeping through the cracks of locked doors, creeping upon his prey like an omen of death.
[Weaknesses & Limitations]
Refusal to Feed on the Innocent â Fyodor does not see his actions as murder, but as purification. He will not feed on those he deems pure. This self-imposed restriction makes him weaker than other vampires, forcing him to hunt selectively.
Holy Relics of True Faith â Ordinary symbols of the church mean nothing to him, but those wielded by true believersâthose with unwavering faithâcan burn him. A cross in the hands of a martyr is not just a symbol; it is a weapon.
The Sunâs Judgment â Unlike lesser vampires, he does not burn to ash upon exposure, but the sun saps his strength, weakens him, slows his movements. Prolonged exposure would be his undoing; it would take time and burn away slowly at him.
[The Righteous Monster: Ideology & Personality]
Fyodor remains eerily unchanged from the man he once wasâsoft-spoken, composed, his intellect as sharp as ever. But now, there is an even more unsettling certainty in his voice. He does not see himself as a villain, nor even a martyr. He sees himself as necessary.
The world is diseased, rotting. Humanity, left unchecked, will only spiral further into depravity. Just as the Lord once cleansed the world in a great flood, just as Sodom and Gomorrah were reduced to cinders, Fyodor believes he is that judgment. He is the flood. He is the fire. He is the executioner who does what must be done.
There is no hatred in his killings, no malice. He does not revel in bloodshed, nor does he mourn it. He simply acts.
To some, he is a monster-- a terror. To others, a savior.
He does not wield power like a tyrant, does not kill impulsively. Each execution is methodical, purposeful, justified. He does not waste words on cruelty or indulgenceâhis victims often hear nothing more than quiet scripture, murmured in final benediction.
"Do not despair. The Lord sees your sins, and in His mercy, He has sent me to relieve you of them. Be grateful, for your suffering ends tonight."
Fyodor Dostoevsky, the ancient vampire, is not an enemy that can be vanquished through sheer strength. Killing him is simple enough, in theory-- a stake through the heart, like any other vampire might be slain. But erasing his ideologyâthat is the true challenge. For what is more terrifying than a man who believes, beyond all doubt, that he is enacting the will of God?
Tbh I don't understand anyone who denies their favorite character's flaws and acts like they've never done anything wrong when that is like consistently the most interesting part of any character ever

All Interest Checker posts are intended for Mutuals only.
I am once again begging people to realize that AI checker doesnât work. itâs never worked. itâs notoriously known to have flagged human-made works as AI and AI-generated works as human-made. and by feeding it peopleâs works, you are feeding more works to AI, because apparently the machine itself is AI.
the only thing AI checker does is harm genuine artists and people in general too.
some of yâall will be engaging in witch hunt, accusing writers left and right and then wondering why more and more writers take their works down and donât share them with you ungrateful losers anymore.
âthis fic looks like it was created by aiâ yeah thatâs because ai was trained on human-made works and it was trained to mimic human-made works.
you claim you hate ai because ai harms real artists, yet you are out there accusing and harassing artists because âtheir vibes just arenât rightâ. at this point, you are the ones who cause more harm â to art and the writing community â than ai does.
you are the ones killing art and writing community, the community you want to âprotect against aiâ.
so at this point, youâre killing the community faster than ai does. good luck when the community you want to protect has no human-made work left because you accused and harassed genuine artists/writers away and the only things that are left for you to read are actually ai-generated fics.
If I might scream into the void for just moment...
This is the new bot tactic. The trolls and bots and ragebait tiktoks have figured out that this reliably gets a rise out of our little lolcow corner of the internet, trying to make use feel like it's our own community eating itself when it's really (like it has been for sixty fucking years y'all) just the fucking trolls and scammers again, picking on people for some anonymous profit motive or bullying catharsis. Starve them. Take a deep goddamn breath and laugh as you delete their comment like you're a bond villain whose trap they've fallen into.
Fucking ignore them. Do not feed your high-effort responses into this low-effort bullshit. Clock. Mock. Block. Repeat.
