Robin is more than ready to step out of the shadow of the bat, and leaves Gotham for Jump City to start a new reputation as a serious lone crimefighter, one less childish than the person he had been. Jump City is a bright place with a slowly growing array of villains ready to prey on it, and the perfect place for a hero to get away from Gotham and the grief of a death in the family. Robin is the sole defender of this city...or at he least, he planned to be. Circumstances change when he encounters an alien escapee and three other runaways who had gone to Jump City for a new life. Together, they form the Teen Titans, watching the city from their tower and figuring out their place in the world.

Rita Farr twenty years ago was a young and beautiful new actress, scouted from her swim meet and thoroughly lost in the chaos of Hollywood living, slowly becoming- in her eyes- a household name, and ready to do whatever it took to reach the next level of her career. What was meant to be her first break into the A-list movies turned into a disaster and a tragedy, though, when an accident on set let something into her- and her body fell out of her control, warping in ways that horrified her and the crew who saw her before she fled. It was Niles Caulder who found her in the wreckage of her life, and she's been with the Doom Patrol ever since, living in their base on Danny the Street and rarely venturing out. Her powers might be under control now, and the day she got them was never publicized, but still- she knows when to call it quits and move on.

WORLDBUILDING WEDNESDAY 1: Earth RQ

The new semi-regular Wednesday feature, giving you in-depth info on worlds, timelines, characters, and more. Quint’s collection of talented models graciously offered to pose for our first post in lieu of artwork.

The Earth RQ is the main universe in this corner of DC’s infinite worlds. Inspired by animated cartoons like Teen Titans, Justice League, and Batman: Brave and the Bold; this world also takes notes from comics like Justice League International and DC’s New Frontier, along with other fan content and media. Going from the Golden Age on to the Modern Age, the world parallels major comic events without directly mirroring the original timeline, and features several unique crisis events along with multiple major timeline changes.

A Golden Age set after World War 2 is only the first of such changes, along with revamped character lineups, backstories, and characterizations, accompanied by a varied cast of original characters. Plus, new takes on familiar DC landmarks- such as the mysterious circumstances around Ted Kord’s alleged death, the origin of Supergirl and other relics of Krypton, and the history of the Green Lantern Corps.

There is no Justice League yet to handle the threats facing this world- rather, heroes have been divided into other, smaller teams, such as the Justice Society, Super Friends, and Justice International.
