Jasper’s weariness suddenly dissipates once he hears his mate’s voice drift over his frequency. It stops him in his tracks, causing a few other mechs to bump into him. After hurrying out of the way, Jasper responds, ::Uhm, y-yes, I’m back. We just came back!:: Forgive him for not sounding too exuberant, Rush. The little one is very tired.

Jasper still couldn’t believe it; they had their own personal washrack in their hab-suite. But there it was, in all its glory… … and there was Rush inside of it; a dream come true. The Intel drone wanders into the washrack and sighs blissfully. The steam, the warm spray soaking his frame… it was amazing. He’ll stand directly underneath the shower’s head and purr ever so loudly; he’s feeling cleaner already. “Oh Primus….” Jasper actually sits down as the water soaks him. “I-it’s wonderful.”

Rush planted himself behind Jasper and wrapped his ams around the smaller frame, resting his chin atop Jasper’s helm.

“…ain’t it?” He murmured and then reached for the scrub brush. Lazily, he began scrubbing circles over the Intel drone, starting with the neck and shoulders, all the while nuzzling his smaller mate.

Ah, yes, it was good to have Jasper back.

“Mmmmhmmm…” Jasper presses against Rush, his engines rumbling softly in contentment.  The petite Vehicon’s optics slowly close. He’s almost tempted to drift off into recharge right then and there. But he doesn’t. As soon as he feels Rush begin to groom him, they shutter back online.  Jasper’s amazed how gentle Rush’s servos were; especially when they were doing something so delicate as grooming. The Intel drone knew how strong and destructive his mate’s servos could be…  “What have you been… u-up to?” Jasper asks, sagging against Rush.

Rush continued to purr quietly and brought the brush around to Jasper’s front, circling it over his chassis.

“Nothin’ important...just patrols and other slag,” he said with a sigh. He was also trying to stay out of trouble; you know him, Jasper. Its hard for Rush not to pick a fight.

“How was the mission?” The flyer moved the scrubber around to Jasper’s sides, where he cleaned and attempted to get into the seams to pick out the dirt and grime. That couldn’t be comfortable.

Jasper blinks. “…. w-we have a shower?” Jasper asks. “Since when?” He’s not opposed to it or anything; the runty ‘con is simply surprised. It only now dawns on him how long he had been gone for – long enough for Rush to request, be approved of, and install a washrack in their hab-suite. But a shower with Rush. Primus, did that sound divine…

“Since a few weeks ago. A lot of the rooms got upgraded, isn’t it great?” The Eradicon stepped around the corner and soon enough, they arrived at their suite. He punched in the codes and waltzed in, only setting Jasper down once the door was closed. “I also got us a dispenser…courtesy of Johnny~” He winked and then nodded over to said dispenser.

“A d-dispenser?” An energon dispenser? In their hab-suite? Primus, what happened that motivated Megatron to upgrade the quarters of mere drones with such luxuries?  But there it is - an energon dispesne - sitting pretty before Jasper.  “Primus…” breathes the little one. While a cube of energon sounds amazing, showering with Rush sounds twice as better.  “C-Could I, er, I mean, could w-we shower first?” Jasper asks meekly. “I c-could use a shower– a pr-proper shower.”

Megatron nothing, it was Dreadwing’s doing. Probably. Most likely. Rush couldn’t remember who’d decided to upgrade, but he knew it wasn’t Megatron.

“Sure, Jasp.” Rush turned and headed for the back of his room, where the washrack was located, opened it, and stepped inside. He’ll turn the hot water on and then wait for Jasper to get in, sighing in content when he felt the warm water running over his wings.

“Come on in, its greaaaat...” The Eradicon purred.

Jasper’s not too entirely sure what signaled him to Rush’s grand entrance: the disgruntled cursing from the mech he had shoved out of the way, or, the ‘MOVE IT OR LOSE IT!’. It didn’t matter at this point, for no faster than Jasper could blink, he was in Rush’s warm embrace. Oh, how he missed being held by those strong arms. Almost instantly, Jasper starts to purr. His tiny frame melts into Rush’s hold; hugging back ever so gently. “I missed you…” Jasper murmurs.

Rush begins to purr as well and nuzzles Jasper’s helm, taking the moment to savor the embrace. His wings relaxed back down into their natural angles after weeks of being hiked up.

“…missed you, too…” he finally murmured back before turning and heading down the corridor that would lead to their hab-suite.

He’s also carrying Jasper like a teddybear.

A small smile crosses Jasper’s faceplate. He’ll nuzzle back against Rush’s helm, engines rumbling louder as he continues to revel in his lover’s words of endearment. “U-uhm, Rush? Where are w-we going?” Jasper was originally planning on heading to one of the communal washracks, but he’s somewhat aware that the flyer’s carrying him back to their quarters.

“Back to our place.” Rush answered, looking down at the petite Vehicon,

“I thought we could shower there.” With each other; he just wanted to be close with his mate, nothing more. No interfacing had to be involved, just closeness.

Rush stopped what he was doing (which had been patrolling corridors) and changes direction, heading for the transport bay as fast as he could.

::Stay right there, I’m on my way.:: No worries, Jasper, he plans on carrying you back to your room.

:: O-okay…::  And so Jasper leans against the wall and waits. He’ll pass the time by watching the other mechs from his mission pass him by, and pick dirt out from the transformation seams on his arm.

It wasn’t too long before Rush dashed around the corner, shoving a Vehicon out of the way as he did.

“MOVE IT OR LOSE IT!” He yelled back, not even waiting to see what the other soldier’s response would be. Afterwards, he jogged up to Jasper and scooped the petite Drone up into a hug, gently squeezing him.

He wouldn’t say it out loud but, he missed his short mate.
