I finished the comic. All that's left is to do the English translation. This is a shot from the last page. Don't you think Mom wants to drag Sherry into the paintingπ ?

Itβs time for me to voice my unpopular opinion about A Gilded Cage case in Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, namely, that I believe Paul Perks was the culprit, not Arthur Swift.
Before getting into the arguments, letβs clarify something. If a character you like turns out to be guilty of something, that does not automatically make them a bad character or, in some cases, even a bad person. This post is absolutely not meant to say βPaul is a bad character.β I simply want to express my interpretation of his involvement in the crime.
I will also avoid discussing anything not directly supported by the investigation itself. I wasnβt interested in whether certain choices yield greater rewards, Iβm interested in the case, not the technical side of the game. And letβs also avoid the argument βI think this character is guilty because they behave more suspiciously,β since that is entirely subjective perception and does not constitute factual evidence.
omg, yes, finally! I totally agree! Btw, I never saw anyone mentioning elbow bruises in this case. Both Arthur and Paul have a bruised elbow, yet on different arms! Arthur's left elbow and Paul's right elbow have bruises. And judging by the reconstructions on the crime scene in Goliath's yard and by the damage made to the shed we can see that the person who felt backwards from the impact of the gate most probably broke a board with his right elbow. The reconstruction could be wrong, of course, but after examining the shed I don't think it's very likely to land on the shed to break that board like that with a left elbow. Not sure if it was intended that way, but it was one of the first things that caught my attention while investigating and strongly affected my final decision. Still, an interesting detail either way
Hehe, in case you have wondered what happens with Jon after being shot - he lets go of Sherry and takes 2 steps back
Also, Sherlock's hand is shaking as he points the gun towards Jon

Ok, but some of the phrases exchanged between Sherlock and Jon during the endings just...
"I love you."
"So this is it? It's over?"
"Because you are breaking my heart!"
"I try not to think about you."
"When you were alone, I held you."
I'm not saying they are intended to be read this way, but to me personally, these are romantic coded lines.
I will say it how I see it:
The way they part ways sounds like a breakup to me, and the way Sherlock handles it afterwards seems like a breakup to me.
And then, in "The Awakened" there is suddenly a painting of Jon you can get as a meta-reward, and it simply has the label "Forever." And I live for this!
And do you know what I think is tragic?
I think if Sherlock actually had any romantic feelings for Jon, he would not have realized this until Jon was gone. Of course, he has always cared for Jon, but he did not actually believe he could lose him until he lost him, and it broke his heart more than he'd anticipated.
And this, my friends, is the beauty of Jonlock to me. It's tragic and sweet and beautiful... and impossible.
But I love them!
I am on a roll today, so I will just expand the list of reasons why their relationship can be seen as having romantic undertones in my opinion.
In the trailer and in the loading screen, their room is shown to have one double bed instead of having two single beds.
In the game, refurbishing the manor is optional. However, there is already one bed in their bedroom for obvious reasons - because where would Sherlock sleep if you donβt refurbish the manor? The question is, why is Jonβs bed optional and where would he sleep if you donβt refurbish the manor and buy his bed back? Right.
The whole βwe have booked only one room in the hotel and we only need one key, because we will be together all the timeβ conversation BEFORE Jon is revealed to be imaginary. Plus Jon smiling at Sherlock as he says that. Of course they share a room, itβs questionable if Jon can exist in a separate room at all, butβ¦ the fact that it was explicitly addressed is justβ¦ hmm letβs say the first reaction of everyone I know when I show them the scene without context is βoh are they a couple?β
Jon lying around in seductive poses in the most inappropriate of moments and making comments a la βI would look so good in this uniformβ or βI look so good in this roomβ (these are no direct quotes ofc but depending on the translation, thatβs what he is saying basically). If we see Jon as a product of Sherlockβs unconscious, these lines are ultimately Sherlock seeing a room with a nice satin doble bed and immediately going βOh Jon would look so great on this bed if he lay around like one of Jack's French girlsβ sorry not sorry.
Sherlock imagining Jonβs shirt being open and also a little too tight. Because Jon looking Like That is Sherlock's imagination.
Sherlock and Jon carving their initials everywhere like most teenagers do when they have a crush, lol
Jon basically being Sherlock's biggest fanboy, who cannot stop showering him in praise and who keeps writing in his diary how important it is to him to be close to Sherlock.
Sherlock calling Jon his anima.
Sherlock saying how only music can move him, and Jon being able to play every single music instrument in the world, and always doing so whenever he sees one, because obviously, Sherlock loves listening.
And since I'm listing things, I will continue the list with things, which I love about these two, no matter if they can be seen as romantic or not!
Sherlock considering Jon's feelings in every situation. Even after the biggest fight they have in the game (the M for Mystery case), Sherlock cannot let Jon misunderstand his words and feel hurt or unwanted.
Sherlock telling a police officer that "he is not alone, but with his friend", even though it's obvious that there is nobody else there. Because to Sherlock, acknowledging Jon has higher priority than what people think of him.
Sherlock crying for Jon during the Hamlet play.
Sherlock making Mycroft buy Jon a bed.
Jon lying to Sherlock, that a random skull belongs to Siger, only so Sherlock can have closure.
In the "Jon did it" ending - Jon taking the hit for Sherlock, whenever Violet becomes violent.
In the "Jon did it" ending - even though Sherlock is convinced Jon has killed his mother, he still embraces Jon before he shoots him, because he sees that Jon is scared. And yes, Jon wanting to embrace Sherlock, while being fully aware he is going to die by his hand.
Sherlock narrating 3 of the endings, and in 2 of them, he is talking to Jon.
Sherlock crying when he meets Watson, because he reminds him of Jon
Sherlock's pain when Mycroft mentions Jon in The Awakened. Sherlock immediately picking the violin, because it's the only way he can cope with emotions.
Sherlock struggling to say Jon's name during the "The Dreams of Children", because it hurts too much.
Sherlock not giving up on the idea, that Jon might come back, calling out for Jon every time when he is in distress even 2,5 years after Jon's "death".
Sherlock describing Jon and his mother as the best part of his family.
And some more launch trailer scenes not in the final game! It kinda looks like Placido's office? I'm not sure.
