Love the poster from the tour.
This poster is great and also unique to the Ryman; they create them for every event that is held there. They are called Hatch posters or prints. I've been to shows there before and purchased a few. They are art!
I’m sorry but seriously Maks is so full of it… I don’t know if they don’t realize they are making themselves look ridiculous. Didn’t she say they started dating since January? Now it’s October? If they were dating since October I can honestly say I can’t write what I think in public, so I’ll keep it to myself… anyhow I don’t believe anything they say anymore.

Sorry things didn't work out
I actually do think things worked out for the best for both, especially Meryl. It's just that connection or spark is gone when they dance, which I don't expect to be much if at all going forward.
Meryl & Maks ... Final Thoughts
I’ve held off commenting for a while but enough time has passed now…
One or both of them gave such teasing answers & were nervous when talking about a possible romance or whether they were single because they were unsure themselves if they were truly dating.
However that clarity ultimately occurred - realization they were too different, one was impatient or whatever - both appear to be with people more suited to their personalities and lifestyles.
Part of me is “too bad” because Maks seemed a better version with Meryl, but I think Karina’s comments about him are telling in terms of how he views business, girlfriends, etc. Bottom line: Meryl escaped her brush with a sexy bad boy unscathed and I’m very glad about that. She seems to be a genuinely nice person who is considerate and professional.
I wish I hadn’t followed things so closely or dug into things because I would still like Maks more. I basically believe he’s a selfish, arrogant ass or can be when it suits him!
PS: If it was only a showmance, only one party thought that. But I believe it’s just revisionist history since nothing really came of it.

This is not good for Disson Skating. They told me last year that the ticket sales were so good because of Maks & Meryl. This shit shouldn’t happen. Dates aren’t hard and neither is honoring a commitment, if you have character.
I’ve always liked Maks and loved him dancing with Meryl, but there is no good excuse for this.
Maks just seemingly doesn’t have his shit together at all. And it’s embarrassing for Meryl to have his lack of commitment screwing up her skating work.
If anyone still thinks Meryl should be with Maks instead of Fedor, I have no idea why.

Gossip is reporting Michael Wentink is being brought in from SCD and the other judge is Tony. The Hough faction is already pissing and moaning about Tony saying that’s an unfair for Val. They are saying Julianna doesn’t really favor Mark and Derek.😏
I think Tony would play no favorites. He’s older and more mature and very experienced.
Did Maks really blow this or what? 2 spots? It just doesn’t look good on him, especially as much as he hangs around the show.
Tony also was a far more accomplished dancer than Maks prior to DWTS. So I can see him replacing Len. Interesting no Bruno.
Different Strokes for Different Folks
It's become obvious the last few months that Meryl & Maks are likely too fundamentally different to be anything but good friends. What Maks pronounced he wanted a year or more ago doesn't really seem the case. That's OK, people often think one thing about themselves and realize it's another if they are being truthful. Maks seems clingy; Peta seems clingy. That's good and better than if one was more independent ... in terms of making it in the long run. Meryl seems more independent and the type who doesn't need a romantic relationship to validate herself or be fulfilled. Nothing wrong with any of the above. PS: I think Maks is stuck in a funk at a crossroads in his career because the acting thing isn't happening soon enough. Maybe his new management can help him out.
Umm, it was disrespecting the event
I stand by it: It was tacky and borderline disrespectful for Maks to show up dressed like that at the gala last night. I do know he was late to the reception, but there is no reason he couldn't have put on his dancing costume if nothing else. And my friend there noted he was the only one dressed down. Maybe time got away from him, but he wouldn't do that for one of his own events; we've never seen it. It's called being and looking professional. I'm not attacking the man but the appearance he projected. And just because Meryl posted a photo of them, which featured him in jeans, t-shirt and a beanie, doesn't make it kosher that he was wearing that. I'm not trying to tear anyone down or hold anyone up to high -- neither is good. I'm keeping it real. PS: No hand slaps needed.
Very Brief Report on Gala
My friend said that their Paso Doble was quite good! She said Maks arrived late to the reception/press part/red carpet. He was the ONLY one there dressed down. He hung out by himself during this time apart from posing with Meryl at the very end for the photos we saw.
He really should’ve dressed better even if he wasn’t walking the press line and they still look cute together if nothing else…
It’s tacky and borderline disrespectful to show up dressed like that. Sigh.

So glad you are posting your take on the ongoing drama. You were so unceremoniously dumped on at AIRITW, and I was appalled.
Thank you...appreciate it! AAIRITW forum is well-intentioned, at least that's how it started out. But now it seems one can't say anything that might remotely be viewed as negative toward Maks. I don't stick my head in the sand, and I've never really said anything bad about Maks anyway...maddening! (I was also crucified there when I said Alfonso & Witney were the rightful DWTS winners.)IMO, the change on that board, resulting in suppressing thoughts of members there since the beginning, is unfortunate and based in fear since it's become clear the dynamic between MnM changed or what we were led to believe changed. Fear that people will flee and trying to keep morale at an artificial high since a group there was already going to Sway 3, which I'm sure will feature great dancing. But the reality is some MnM fans may not feel the same about going now. Ironically similar actions at our original forum is what led to the formation of AAIRITW, but somehow that is lost. Like I said in my final post there, I wish them well but I'm a level-headed adult who doesn't need policing, especially for innocuous posts.
Happy Monday! It’s definitely happy for me :) I’ve been on very sporadically because I’ve literally worked a long 8 days straight and it was pretty grueling. Hotel/resort + spring break = stress. Enough said lol.
Anyway, looks like I’ve missed a lot in terms of Maks’ interviews. I’m not focusing on it because frankly, I’m still exhausted and I’ve got other things on my radar. There’s the gala tonight, DWTS tonight, I don’t have to work this week and most importantly, I’M MEETING MERYL AND CHARLIE ON SUNDAY!
I’m going to the Sullivan Award ceremony and I’m extremely excited! The woman I got the tickets from had nothing but the sweetest things to say about them when I mentioned they were the ones I wanted to see at the ceremony. I’m pretty sure I have a dress, not so sure about the shoes, but definitely sure that it will be an amazing experience.

Follow-up to 'Interesting Time' Post
Had several anonymous questions. What I actually know (through old skating connections) is very little. But I do know Maks' behavior/comments in general do not go unnoticed by IMG. And frankly, it would be irresponsible of them if it did. MY impression is that Maks, not unlike some former Soviet skaters I've come across, has a chip on his shoulder because he thinks his talent should be greater recognized. This edgier side of Maks disappeared for a good portion of last year. MY own experience is that very few celebrities are as you perceive them. Meryl & Charlie are exceptions. Most put on a facade for cameras; that's just how it is. That doesn't mean they aren't good people...just not what you expected based on what the world is allowed to see. MY own belief leans toward nothing romantic was acted on by MnM in a big way. I do think there were romantic feelings there by at least one of them but wasn't (completely) followed through on for whatever reason. I'm guessing Peta pursued Maks (again) in December at some point because he's said he never is the one to do it. Still, it's hard to overlook Val's own comment summarizing Maks as "emotionally irresponsible." There was a reason he said it. As for who called the paps last week to capture Peta, Meryl & Maks (anon ask)...it wasn't Meryl. If the location wasn't a noted pap hangout, I would say Peta, Lizzie or Maks (in that order) called the paps. I do think the awkwardness in those photos may have promoted IMG to contact Just Jared to run something on Meryl and have something good come out of it. Personally I'm not feeling there will be more MnM dance appearances post Sway in June. That's just my opinion based on the vibe now.
Interesting Time
The IMG team knows full well Maks' attributes and his shortcomings. And I think his behavior this past few months -- what he says in interviews alone -- is not scoring him any points with Meryl's team. At one time, I thought MnM would/should pursue more options/projects together, in addition to Meryl & Charlie obviously doing their things. Now I think Meryl will pursue more solo opportunities in addition to those with Charlie. Reports from the skating benefit on Monday may be revealing.
