well, i may as well just spit it out. it's why i'm probably going on hiatus/sticking to friends & mutuals for a while.

i don't feel safe, or comfortable, on my blogs at the moment. something that fucking shook me to my core happened over discord, to the point that i feel like i need to retreat to even feel comfortable and safe. i didn't want to wake up to what happened but i basically did.

it feels like i'm dealing with an ex-friend of mine all over again. i'll be on discord if y'all need me. i might pop in every now and again, but right now i need to back off because i am not doing well at all.

A comprehensive headcanon list:

Cú Chulainn is a Pseudo-servant of Odin, but he hates that position as it puts him at Odin's whims. Although he's mellowed out and is a lot less bratty than most of the other Cús, he's the original and therefore feels out of place because he does not fit in.

Touching Gáe Bolg physically hurts him and tears apart his Spirit Origin. Odin sealed it away when he gave Cú some of his Authority and turned him into a Caster. He will pass out if he holds it long enough, and he can die if he's holding it when he's passed out.

He'll use his staff like a spear before even thinking of using Rune Magic. Cú is a Lancer at heart and prefers it over magic, anyway. He can be a combat caster, as that's what he was trained for, but he doesn't even think about it.

Contrary to what's told about him, Cú was loyal. Connla was not his, despite the poor kid being made to believe it. The only time he would ever take another lover is if it was first discussed at length with Emer. Most of it is to make him seem as if Emer was just a fleeting thought. That's his wife.

He has a lot of regrets about how things went about, even if he states he has none. This is because he wishes things could've been different in his life. There are a lot of things he wishes could've been better- been different.

Despite having been the original Cú Chulainn summoned, Caster actually has issues with his identity. This is due to the fact that, in Nasuverse, Cú's identity is tied to Gáe Bolg. He is a fantastic fighter regardless of what weapon he wields, but the fact he doesn't have the spear Scáthach gave him makes him feel like he's not Cú Chulainn. This gets worse in LB6, where he's forced to go by Grímr because of how the Lostbelt works. He thinks he's a fraud, an imposter using his own name and it has stuck with him for a long while. Because his identity is, again, tied to his spear.

Cú has no good feelings towards Conchobar. Being used as his tool for war, having to always go by the king's command regardless of autonomy and never really allowed to say no? It soured his opinion of Ulster's king.

Outside of combat, he adored using magic. Though Rune Magic was his specialty, having been taught it by Scáthach, he enjoyed practicing and using other forms of magic. It's one of the few reasons he hates using magic in combat. Magic was something relaxing to him, and using it for combat reasons stressed him out.

He only ever had a daughter, Fínscoth, with Emer. He wanted a large family, mostly in hopes of his daughter never being lonely. When he died, she was still just a small child, so he never got to see her grow up. This means that his daughter never got married to the man who would eventually have him killed

Cú is an astonishingly good cook. He's lived on his own for a lot of years after joining the boy troops of the Red Branch, so had to learn how to fend for himself. He's pretty good at using modern-day tools, too, given his knowledge from prior grail wars.

My Mom needs help

Hi.

This is gonna come across as a scam since I don't use this blog right now and- honestly? I don't blame you for thinking that. I put it down in a document, but I'll write it out here too.

On April 26th, I got a message from my mom saying she needed to talk to me. I figured there'd been something new like maybe my cousin was once again in some sort of financial trouble that they wanted me to fish her out of and give to "the love of her life" (which is probably where the money I got my cousin before went).

What I didn't expect was that my mom would ask me for help to get her out of her situation. She started crying on the phone during because it was that horrendous. Telling me about how she doesn't get basic amenities, is treated like the scum of the earth and her dog is getting thin and she doesn't want to die. Doesn't want her dog to die.

And honestly? I do not want to lose my mom nine months after my brother's passing. I don't want her to lose the dog she's cared for since he was a pup that she bonded with over their shared status as the small one of the family.

The worst part about this? My mom is disabled and on SSI/SSDI, so she's on a horrendously limited income because it's not been fixed for inflation and prices rising/modern day needs.

Here's the google doc that has the full information. I got evidence today (April 30th) of the conditions she has to live in and it's bad. She looks like she's living in a repurposed shed, has no AC in Arizona of all places and is basically being treated less than a prisoner.

it was a discord rp, but basically when my ritsuka finally got the help she needed because she was ruining herself trying to save the world. she got sent via rayshift to another timeline that wasn't as fucked as her own (and her kadoc later followed), but it was adorable. ritsuka got taken care of like she honestly needed since part 1 ended. it was really fun to do.

duplicates are great. i love cú chulainn and i would like to interact with every cú chulainn there is. our interpretations all differ, and it'd be great to just. see how different they are! especially since i have broken lore over my knee and rewritten it to get rid of a trigger of mine....

in my opinion? forced interactions. everyone'll see a meme and reblog it because they like it. but getting it reblogged from you and clogging notifs was what caused reblog karma to be brought up in the first place.

it was basically "you HAVE to send a meme to reblog it from me" because it was to justify you reblogging from someone else instead of from the source. but you had to type in the meme url and hope to hell you could find it and it wasn't hidden behind 700 layers of junk that you didn't want to scroll through.

given tumblr has changed enough to make it easier to reblog from the source? it's just forcing interaction at this point. like if you want to, do it, but i'm not going to.
