The New Zealand Herald posted a scathing and despicably mean “article” about Taylor Swift. The link to the article is below. The New Zealand Herald is one of the top media “news” sources in New Zealand. This comes after the same newspaper ran a campaign about the effects of cyber-bullying. So...I guess celebrities just don’t apply, right? Especially when they’re tearing each other down? Wrong.

This article makes me sad, not just as a Taylor Swift fan, but as a person.

HOWEVER. When I read the comments on Facebook I was pleasantly surprised to find over 100 comments just as disgusted as I was. You don’t have to be a Taylor Swift fan to shoot down the bullies. Many of the comments recognize that she is a person, who does not deserves this sudden onslaught of hate. Faith in the general public restored. Faith in the media and our “celebrity” role models? Destroyed.

Basically; too much DRAMA! I tried so hard to only follow people (with paramoreandfood) who made a habit of removing themselves from the drama but unfortunately some of you have just spoiled it for me and I can no longer enjoy being part of the Taylor swift tumblr fandom. I want to make it clear that I’m not ‘sub-blogging’ (is that even a thing? lol) anyone in particular, just in general this fandom is far too immature for me and THRIVES. FUCKING. THRIVES ON DRAMA. Some of the people on here’s thirst for drama and attention is TOO REAL.

This is a personal choice, I just need a break because this drama is making me unreasonably angry. I might be back if y’all calm down. I understand if you want to unfollow me while i’m gone but tbh i don’t really see the point because I won’t be posting at all/on your dash anyway.

I need to also make it clear that some of you are SO NICE. Like UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL. And I regret leaving you behind but if we have interacted or you want to please follow me elsewhere at paramoreandfood or smoakswan, my other tumblr fandom blogs which i WILL be using.

That’s it. I’m out. This fandom acts like we are so great and amazing but omg so much drama over a fucking photo what is this? it’s like every. single. thing. that Taylor does now can’t be celebrated but has to be intensely scrutinized.
