Sorry I’ve been absent here lately. I’ve mostly posted on my other account @tinamurphy BUT I was spending FAR too much time on Instagram and far too little time working on myself so I deactivated that account for a while. For me, Instagram is addictive, I use it to avoid myself or numb feelings/issues I should be processing. We all use softener things to numb - food, alcohol, drugs, social media, TV... etc. Most people I coach on weight loss/eating habits recognise that they are as addicted to social media as they are to food. Take those two away and most spend a week crying, feeling angry etc - feeling all the emotions they’ve been stuffing away - after a while they start feeling better! Personally, I want to find a healthier way to use Instagram and other social media (I no longer use Twitter at all, some Facebook). So I’ll try posting here a bit more... anyone else struggling with social media?
