it was never often that kyle got into a slump, especially when he was out and about with someone he was the one who’d conceal it away, worry about it later and face the inevitably worse repercussions at a different time. but, like everything, there were exceptions and despite hanging out with cheyenne, an exception was happening.
he poked around at his tub of ice cream, swirling the plastic spoon given to him and, every so often, taking the smallest of bites. his mind had made the dangerous decision to wander back to the idol project days where he embarrassed himself and showed a side that was purely cocky, mostly because he knew his parents would be watching and he desperately wanted to show them up. instead, all he did, was show himself up and there were days that he’d beat himself up over it. unfortunately, today was one of those days and, subsequently, the desire to eat the ice cream in front of him was slipping away quickly.
