“Oh–you aren’t even the DJ at your own party?” with how much she loved to make remixes, he would have expected that to be her choice. He still shook his head, finding some ironic humor in the fact to make him grin, that was like walking on thin ice with the Bellas, it had to be.

“Nah, I’m good, I’m sure everyone will get tired of it sooner or later,” he prayed for the first rather than the second. “I was actually hoping we could go someplace more private and talk!” he had t say above a normal inside voice; the bass was too loud to speak even remotely normal in closed quarters.

He could completely forgot his dinner plans for tonight if she wanted to stay at the party. He really just wanted to talk to her, it was pretty important.

“No, I’m not,” Beca said, shaking her head. “I would love to, but since this was a surprise party, I couldn’t do anything,” she explained, lifting her hands and shrugging her shoulders. Although she wasn’t sure Chloe would have let her DJ if she had known about the party as her redhead friend always said that ‘birthday girls  shouldn’t do any work this day’.

“Are you sure?” she asked, raising a brow. “Because we have the opportunity to put on another song,” she added with a grin. Since Clark had arrived, her excitement was growing and now she felt it hard to wipe the smile off her face, while not long ago she wanted to send everybody home. Why was that?

Hearing his last words her eyes widened with surprise. She suddenly became a bit nervous as she had no idea what he wanted to talke about. “You mean inside the house or somewhere else?” she asked.

“A movie, TV, music and general knowledge quiz.” She said smiling. “What do you do at the dinner table?” She says while sipping her drink. “Oh and yes we are, it’s fun.” She said, laughing. “I hope you have a good time.” Aubrey smiled as she said the last line.

“I see,” Beca said with a nod, then she went on drinking her hot chocolate. “Eat,” she answered Aubrey’s question. Indeed, they ate and had a conversation about different kind of things. Then they watched Home Alone together, although since their parents’ divorce, Beca watched it alone in her room when her mother was asleep. “The same to you,” she said, smiling as well.

“Well have you heard of the game where you put a name on your head, not literally by the way, where you have to guess what name is on your head it’s fun. Oh and we do a quiz. I’m always on dad’s team and we always win the quiz.” She said taking a sip of her drink.

"You're playing that game at the dinner table?" Beca asked, astonished. She knew that one - they played it a lot in primary school. However, she couldn't imagine Aubrey and her family playing that game at the table. She thought after eating they would sit down in the living room and start to play only then. "Oh, I see," she said with a nod. "And what kind of quiz is that?" she wondered.

it’s been one hell of a year for me and i’m so glad y’all’ve decided to spend some of it with me — however long we may or may not’ve known one another ( in hannah’s case, i am so sorry you’ve known me for 84 years !!! ). i sincerely hope everyone has a good and safe nye and welcomes in 2k16 with great gusto. love y’all okay !!! <3 and here’s to another great year :)

An AU based on The Holiday, so Muse A could switch houses for two weeks with someone (not necessarily with Muse B) in order to get over a nasty breakup and to find themselves again and then they would meet new people, make friends and things like that. Would anyone be interested in such thing?

“The one on the right please?” Aubrey smiled. “So how are you Beca? Are you well? What are you doing for Christmas? I’m hanging out with my parents and siblings.”

“Sure, here you go,” Beca said, handing the mug to Aubrey, then she sat down next to her. “Oh, I’m fine, thanks. And you?” she asked. “I will be with my family, too,” she said. She would spend Christmas Eve with her mum, then on Christmas Day she would visit her father and the stepmonster. She wasn’t very happy about it, but it was a must and she hoped they could get through it without fighting.

She takes the mug. “Yes, I’m fine.” She says drinking the drink. “Yea, hope you don’t fight with your dad. I have to put up with parents making googly eyes at each other. And Dad fighting with grandma over who carves the turkey and over who’s team goes first at the dinner games.” She groans while drinking the drink.

"I hope so, too," Beca said with a sigh then she took a sip of her drink. "Dinner games?" she raised a brow. "What games could you play at dinner?" she wondered. She wasn't surprised that Aubrey had some kind of competition with her familly at Christmas, but she wasn't expected that they already started it at dinner.
