Hey, this was the annon asking about the slurs. Ty sm for answering Ik it was an uncomfortable ask but really really ty for being chill about it.

I did not know him and his friend were black so that makes absolute sense as to why the n slur is used in one of their videos, I’m just embarrassed I didn’t know and got freaked out from it. 😭

As for the r slur, while not assss bad, im still a bit uncomfortable that he used it. Turns out I watched two of the wrong videos (not verity related as that series has neither). He did sensor his usage of the r slur but. Still. Kind of upsetting that he did so anyways. (It was in ThatMob’s “don’t download this mod” at 0:28)

Idk thats just my own thoughts. There are plenty of medias people love despite the usage of the r slur. I disagree with it but. Y’know. People will like what they like no mater what I think lol.

Thank you again though for responding. I did end up watching the actual Verity series thanks to your reply. It was a neat concept and I do love the toxic yaoi, but ThatMob’s humor isn’t really my cup of tea. But I’m glad to have watched it anyways. I’ll just stick with slimeknight for now lol.

I love the art so much but quick question, as an artist is tracing bad? I’ve traced a few poses before and I’m trying to get back into art, and idk if I’m like, allowed to do that. I’ve never posted anything that I drew and I never claimed I made the poses before. I technically did draw the clothes and hair on my own with a few references, idk I’m just rambling at this point is it bad or not

If its just poses you're essentially just using references man, you're good. professionals do it with 3d models, or just models in general like this account on twitter.

I'm pretty sure it helps retain understanding of form too, so as long as you're not claiming complete originality you're completely fine.

#if you mean tracing poses of existing artwork then. this might be mean of me to say #do it man. who cares. its a pose. its a body who cares no one claims poses were all just drawing and learning all the time #of course the problem is always a lot more nuanced but judging from what youve told me you already know what parts of tracing is bad #youre doing this from a learning standpoint. and youre not posting it so. no damage youre not hurting anyone #use the guides that works for you until you dont need it anymore

Heeyy question. I love your art so very much and it got me curious about thatmob and verity cause it looked interesting but. When I tried to watch, it was just white guys saying the N slur and the R slurs…

Im really confused as to why this is getting so popular and people praising it despite this. Am I missing something…?

terrible person to ask, with thatmob ive only ever watched his verity series, i dont remember a moment in said series of them ever saying the r slur, so i cant comment on the slur usage if they ever did say it in other videos, i wouldnt know

regarding the n slur though its because thatmob is black

maybe more people can give you insight, im unfortunately pretty ignorant on the guy as a whole

how are we feeling about. verity ep3.......

all my yaoi dead. all they do is die. parkour civ seawatt dead. derek hutchins dead. mob dead. these scripted minecraft series are gonna kill me

other than that though i really liked it!! verity's va knocked it off the park once again, love the animations, the references were awesome. just like sfawtde I can't really see it ending any other way, good ending.

#though we never really got any closure why verity was eating villagers and players. maybe the form needs food who knows!
