Inner demons || Avery & Ryan
Averys return was long planned. She had it all sorted out and needed some connections to realize her plans without calling to much attention. Her family couldn’t know she was back until it was all done. It wasn’t easy to stay away especially from her little angel Juliette but she had to wait just a little longer if she didn’t want to lose it all again. She didn’t take her medication as prescribed, only enough to stay calm. It was dangerous but in her mind she didn’t need them anyway. It wasn’t even her who should be taking them.
When she read through the apartments for rent, she found one that seemed perfect. It was on the other side of Boston from where her family lived so chances she’d unintentionally bump into them were low enough. Avery called the real estate agent and he told her she could come over right away which she did. Apparently she wasn’t the only one interested in the apartment as she could see. “Hi it’s nice to meet you. Avery Michaels. ” She smiled at the agent to win him over and then turned to the guy next to her. “ I guess you’ll have to look for something else. ”
Ryan knew it was probably a mistake to come back to Boston but he had a good reason. He wanted to get things right and make sure his mistakes didn’t cause to much trouble for the ones he loved. Internally he wanted to meet his daughter or son and he wanted to explain to his ex what really happened. The whole truth. But she probably moved on by now, he wasn’t delusional. The struggle brought him headaches.
Regardless of how it’d turn out he needed a place to stay for the time being. The motels were shitty and not really comfortable enough long term. It took months until he finally found a payable apartment and he didn’t hesitate to make an appointment. Reaching the place he already spoke to the agent before another interest in form of a pretty woman turned up. She looked kind of familiar to him but Ryan didn’t remember where he had seen her before. Her snarky comment made him laugh “ I don’t think so sweetheart. Maybe you’ll want to look for something else. ”
