Welcome to Rythm High!

That was what the large, electronic sign just outside the door of the school said. Its black background combined with the neon purple text hurt your eyes a bit. You walked into the school and instantly your senses were flooded. The entryway/main hall was flooded with students, most of which had extremely flashy or odd outfits. Was..was that a fucking blob- what on earth? One of the students looked like a demon, another a floating skull, another one was a robot who was walking down the hall with an incredibly short blue-haired kid, a literal cat and OH MY GOD IT'S A WALKING BOMB HOLY SHIT- This was all so weird...See, you had just come here from another town and you hadn't expected to meet actual storybook creatures. Lost in your own thoughts you didn't notice that you ran into someone until it was too late. "Ow!! Oh geez are you okay? I didn't see you there I'm so sorry-" she helped you up off the ground "It's fine, I'm okay" "That's good! my name is Charlotte, by the way. You can just call me Cherry, though" "Nice to meet you Cherry" you then told her your name "oh! I've heard about you! My mom is the principal and I heard her mention you! Welcome to the school!" She gently grabbed your arm "C'mon! I'll show you around!

"God fu- ok ok. Any r o u g h ideas? Like when you last saw them?" Updike furrows his brows and mutters something under his breath, Whitty steps away awkwardly. Garcello tips back his hat. "If we have an idea of where they were last seen we can start from there."

"We last saw Sel run off down a hallway after his lackeys called him a catboy. No idea with the other two.." she looked away, trying not to cry

"Hey hey... look at me. We're going to find them. I promise you. It's going to be ok." Cherry lightly sets a hand on her alt's shoulder.

"Is there... any people you think that maybe could have taken them? If they got snatched at all-" "Like any suspicious characters?" "You mean like yourself?" "HEY- wait... yeah actually."

"I mean..our new science teacher is definitely someone suspicious. We could try and talk to him, see if he knows anything."

"Alright. Let's go check it out. Uh. I guess all of us don’t per say HAVE to come in.” “I’m chill with staying out ere with Hex.” “That’s good with me!” “Wh-nooo-” “You’ll be fine, Whitty.” He looks at Updike and steps away. “mmm fine...”

"Alright. We should get moving if we wanna confront him before he leaves for the day. C'mon." She walked inside. Pico, Keith, Cam, Annie, and surprisingly enough Cassandra followed behind her.

Cherry quickly follows, Pico and Whitty next to her as Lemon and Updike follow behind. Garcello simply leans onto the nearest wall with a lollipop in his mouth as Hex pulls out... a basketball... ok then.

They make it to Updike's classroom but...Updike isn't there. What the- huh???? Where is he???? "He's gone."

Whitty shivers. That’s not good. Lemon furrows his non existent brows. Pico clicks his tongue.

“Does this school have any hidden secrets or something?”

Updike stares blankly at the room. If he were this alt where would he be…

"Hey guys I found a note. Come here."

The others walked over, staring at the note pico held in his hands. ".....THERE'S A FUCKING EXPLOSIVE IN THE BASEMENT?!"

“Start evacuating. NOW. Tell the principal now we need to get everyone out of here-“

"I'm coming with you! Cass, Cherry, you and the others get everyone out."

Cherry nodded at Pico, running off with Cassandra following her, motioning for the others to follow as Pico and BF ran off to start searching for the missing kids.

“Ok split up. Whitty you’re with Lemon n Updike. Pico you’re with me. We need to go. NOW-“

They are rushing off oh shit time to start clearing out the building-

Soon enough everyone has cleared the building, everyone except for the missing trio. "W-we couldn't find them-"

“F u c k. They have to- we can’t- I’m not giving up on them!”

“We can find them even if it’s going to kill us- we made a promise that we’re gonna keep-“

"I don't think there's time-"

"OY IDIOTS, LOOK ALIVE! THE BASTARD IS ON THE ROOF!"

"GUYS GO-" Keith was promptly cut off by something hitting him in the back and creating a cage around him "ACK-"

"Well, well, well. Look at that" The cloud man pressed a button on a device, the cage keith was in levitating and floating near the cloud man. "You stupid anomalies are all right where I want you"

"GIVE KEITH BACK!" "YEAH YOU BITCH!"

Updike ignored them, continuing to ramble madly about anomalies and how everyone here was a threat.

Updike is…. Skittering back into the school. Cherry rushes over to Keith. Whadda hell. Lemon starts motioning for the kids to start backing away.

“Well shit. The police are on the way but no idea when they’ll get here.”

Also Updike is. Almost at the roof. Ya better watch out-

"Finally, all of you PATHETIC CREATURES will be in hell where you belong. Once I blow this place to the ground all of you will be gone!!!" Uh oh countdown

Updike is skittering to the basement. He is skittering.

Pico has come over to help Cherry with Keith and oh heck hey Luis, Miranda n John. Oh they are. Moving children. GO GO GO-

Anyway sirens in the near distance. They are approaching.

Updike himself was gone, but if the ground shaking was anything to go by, the minor explosives were going off before the major one. And then...BOOM!!! The school was gone, and what was left of it was on fire and crumbling.

There is- PANIC within everyone. Cherry full on gives up on trying to pry the cage off and instead demon magic. They are taking Keith. Lets goooo-

The last of the kids are being dragged away. Lemon panickedly uses some magic and oh shit??? Large magic shield defending kids from flying debris.

Updike coughs harshly. He is… in the basement and somehow still alive.

“I-Is everyone o-ok? Or at least still breathing??? Sound off please-“

Man he is moving through-

"Well, well, well. Look at that" The cloud man pressed a button on a device, the cage keith was in levitating and floating near the cloud man. "You stupid anomalies are all right where I want you"

"GIVE KEITH BACK!" "YEAH YOU BITCH!"

Updike ignored them, continuing to ramble madly about anomalies and how everyone here was a threat.
