The sirens blare as Garcello trembles slightly. The bomb being rushed to the hospital. The Greater Good. What good do they do?? They just tried to kill a child! Garcello stares at his feet, tears welling in his eyes. It was supposed to be a nice week. Just him, Whitty, and the rest of his adopted kids. Having a good time. He was a w f u l. Whitty got shot. Right in one of his hearts.

“Why… Fuck why- I need- I need to go smoke a bit-“

He walks out the hospital. He’ll be back. Waiting to hear if the bomb was alright.

As the time passed, the bombhead's sniffles and whimpers started to get quieter, and quieter, until they were almost inaudible. He'd been able to ride out most of their grief, in no small part thanks to Garcello, but now... He just wanted to rest right here, next to their dad. to feel his warmth.

"Did ya wanna take a nap? Feel free to pass out if ya wanna, alright? I'm not leavin."

True with his words he wouldn't. Couldn't really if he tried but it's not like he minded. As long as Jet was going to be alright he was content.

Jet simply nodded, arms loosely wrapped around his father's chest. This was nice. Comfortable. The bombhead started to purr, the noise soft and peaceful, shifting a bit as to not make the other uncomfortable with their weight.

A soft chuckle escapes the older man, before humming softly. He smiles softly down at the other. Before looking back upwards. This was... ok

After a few seconds of bliss, Jet let his eyes droop closed, his purring slowly quieting down until it stopped entirely. The bombhead was out cold.

He takes a moment to enjoy the slight silence, looking down again and oop- son's out cold. His smile grows a bit with fondness, sighing softly before leaning back and closing his eyes. This should be fine.

Another piece of the roof had caved in. BF staring down the ram skull in front of him, before glancing back at GF. Another piece of the roof came down, crushing the brunette within seconds. BF’s eyes widen as his entire body lurches forward. Almost like his spine had cracked. Tabi lets out a startled noise, even within the fire and them trying to escape- the way BF fell seemed so unnatural. The ram skull picks up the boy and escapes with little to no issues. In an alleyway he sets the other down, BF coughs sharply.

“You should have left me to die.. Why?” Tabi blinks.

“I know you’re blinded by devotion to her but-”

“I never loved her.” Tabi almost completely froze at the statement.

“Well... she never loved me. I-… loved her at a time until I found out she was... you were right... but I just couldn’t leave because.... she took a lot from me.. Including my soul...” That explained a lot. BF lets out another sharp cough.

“Sorry... heh... maybe I’m finally free... thank you.. Also don’t... bother with the hospital... I don’t think I can be saved...” Tabi sighs, sitting next to the other.

“If that’s the case then... I don’t want you to be alone when you do pass... kinda my fault since by killing her I just killed you... so all’s fair in staying til you go.” BF only nods slowly, breathing slowing.

“Thank... you...” The ram skull cuts his eyes to the other sadly, he hardly knew him but the other was just like him... a victim. A sad end really...

“Hey Tabs? Wake up you gotta finish your shift.” Tabi sits up, blinking wildly. Oh yeah... work. The ghost next to him smiles softly. The ram skull chuckling.

“So what we gonna do after this?” Tabi shrugs with a smile, despite it being hard to tell it was there.

“Dunno. Maybe we can go hang out with Carol, Sunday, and Hex?” BF nods

Garcello is simply propped up next to a tree. What the Gar doin?

Wait... That smell. It'd been so long since Jet'd smelled it! Other dad!!! The feral bombhead quickly skirted up the tree, before dropping down right on top of Garcello.

"DAD!!!"

Oh… that must’ve been awful. Garcello’s brows furrow in concern. He runs a hand over the other’s head comfortingly.

“I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Glad he’s back, but it must’ve been awful.”

His tone was soft. M a n-

Jet stayed silent, though he leaned into the soft touch, finding it very comforting. It was... Awful. Really was. The feeling of cloud dad's body going cold in his arms, of his breath stopping. Of his hugs growing cold as Jet forced the corpse's dad's hands around himself.

"Mm... Fine now, though. Have cloud dad back, and have dad, too."

The bombhead grinned, though it didn't quite reach his eyes.

A silence grew over the green haired male as he sat there for a minute, looking at the other with a soft expression. That had to have been an awful experience. No one needs to feel that... ever.

"If you're sure... you know it's ok to not be ok though, right?"

Jet just... Looked down, rubbing his arms somewhat harshly. It was better to distract himself from it before he started to fall apart. To remember too much. Cold. So many bad things happened when something was cold. Flashes of being cold came to him, of needing to eat, more and more and more, to the point where Jet thought for one fearful second that he'd eat himself too. Don't think. But he did. And, before the feral bombhead even realized it, he has started to cry, oil dripping down his cheeks.

"M- Mhm..."

Garcello blinks, pulling the other slightly closer to him- at least to the best of his abilities. He didn't know everything sure- and if Jet didn't want to tell him that was fine too. Regardless he was still going to try and comfort his son.

Ever so gently, Jet's arms wrapped around the older man, carefully pulling him close to his chest. The touch was nice. Comforting. Sure, he'd feel guilty later, when Garcello was covered with oil and drool, but for now? All the feral bombhead wanted was this hug. To be reminded that what happened, happened. It wouldn't happen again. He'd be fine.

He didn’t mind. Wouldn’t care about getting dirtied by the other. As long as his kid felt better Garcello was ok with it. He didn’t move or show any discomfort, even tightening the hug just a bit. Jet obviously needed this, and he was going to deliver.

The bombhead sank into his dad's chest, soft, muffled whimpers coming from him. It had hurt so much, and... Well, it wasn't like he'd ever talked about it, not really. Mentioned it once or twice, yes, but that was it. They didn't need the help, they just... Needed a hug. A bit of comfort.

They make it to Updike's classroom but...Updike isn't there. What the- huh???? Where is he???? "He's gone."

Updike ignored them, continuing to ramble madly about anomalies and how everyone here was a threat.

Updike is…. Skittering back into the school. Cherry rushes over to Keith. Whadda hell. Lemon starts motioning for the kids to start backing away.

“Well shit. The police are on the way but no idea when they’ll get here.”

Anyway sirens in the near distance. They are approaching.

Updike himself was gone, but if the ground shaking was anything to go by, the minor explosives were going off before the major one. And then...BOOM!!! The school was gone, and what was left of it was on fire and crumbling.
