“Again, its no problem! A meal always taste better with someone there!” Maybe it was also because Xian Yun was a bit lonely, encountering so many people and yet only really making acquaintances or one-time meetings. Though, most of that was his fault for his complex of being a Main Character.

Maybe he should start calming down a bit more and get to know people more… 

“Ahh, that was amazing! I definitely give this place five stars!”

“Oh definitely baru! This place is amazing!” He smiled and grinned at his friend. Boy was he sure glad that he had a new friend like this. Maybe they’d get to go out and have fun more often now that they were friends. Friends always did stuff together right? 

He wondered what he  would get to do with his new friend. The meal was great, but would they get to go play or maybe just sit around and relax? Whatever they’d get to do, it would be cool because it was with a friend!

“Ok baru. But… What do we do now baru? Do we figure out what’s causing it or do we wait it out or…?” Bal just wanted to know if they could do something about this.

“That is up to you,” he said, ignoring the human child in favor of looking around. “I am personally looking for the one who caused all of this.”

“Bal wasn’t trying to find anyone Bal lost. Bal has barely any friends anymore baru… Bal thought they were, but they weren’t. So Bal is alone baru. Bal just wants to be safe right now.” Bal just sat there. Why? He probably knew, but he just wanted to be back amongst real friends and his real Buddy. This would have to do for now, but Bal didn’t want to be hurt again. Outside was horrible.

He sighed, putting a hand to his face and rubbing the bridge of his nose. What was he supposed to do? He felt like the once dragon now kid was telling him his sob story. Richter of course, didn’t want to hear it and didn’t particularly care at the moment. He wanted to survive whatever the hell was going on outside. “I don’t have time for this.” He grumbles, before slowly removing his hand and looking directly at Bal. “You can come with me, for now. Make any wrong move, or don’t listen to what I say. I will drop you in the middle of all this. Do you understand me?”

"Bal understands baru! Bal will listen to you and not complain baru!"

Bal went on his serious mode and awaited his orders. He wouldn't mess up Richter's plans. Not ever would he, but sometimes he did accidentally mess things up.

“That was fast baru,” Bal said smiling. He liked his new friend. Maybe they’d be a lot like Jack was and be kind and stuff. Boy did he miss people. But it was ok because Bal would make new friends. And new friends would love Bal wouldn’t they?

“Which juice do you want baru?”

“Well it is a weekday and not during lunch hour at that! Which means less costumers to deal with.” He knew the business all too well, working as a waiter back when he crippled his chakra and left Carefree Sect. 

“I’ll take the plum juice. I haven’t had it in years.” It was a luxury item back in that world, so one couldn’t drink it nilly willy like in the modern time.

Bal nodded and took the Apple juice. Bal thought apple juice was the best. But Bal didn't know a lot of things. It would be nice if he knew as much as other people. Then he could take care of himself and help his friends better. That was always a good thing! Because friends always came first! And making friends was always fun!

Bal was super happy. He found his rose smelling friend! He sure did like the smell of Roses. But all this wax was going to harm his poor friend so he went to go pick up Shuichi and bring him into safety… Only to find that the place he wanted to get into was trying to eat hair to let you in. Or talked about dreaming of drowning in oil. “This is a mess baru… How do we get in?”

Kurama nodded his head as if telling Bal ‘Thank you’. Kurama wasn’t sure himself. It seemed like whatever this was trying to eat hair or talking about oil. Maybe letting it eat some of his fur would be harmless? Kurama walked over to the place and looked back at Bal as if telling him to help defend him in case something bad happened.

Bal nodded and jumped into action. Boy was he ready to try and fight on in this form. It would be so cool! Now he would sit and wait.

"Did you know you can't dream if you don't know what dreams are? They're pictures inside your mind and can be anything you want them to be! You can also dream of drowning in oil! But if you don't want to dream, you can let me eat your hair even if it makes your teeth go gray!" The door was just going on and on about gibberish at this rate.

Bal smiled. “Do you need help baru? Bal is bigger now so Bal can help more. Bal just wishes that being like this will be permanent… Bal likes being able to do things like people. But enough of about Bal. Are you the friend that smells like roses?”

Kurama nodded, he needed help more than anything right now. He could barely do anything. It was good that Bal was here to help protect him for the time being, he felt bad for wishing this wasn’t permanent because Bal wouldn’t get the chance to be a human after this. He was surprised that Bal knew who he was in an instant, he did another nod.

Poor Bal was still running around as a human child and had tripped, managing to grab onto the first thing he could to right himself and at least manage to sit up. “Bal is sorry! Bal isn’t used to being a human baru… Bal just went through a rainbow thing and came out like this… Bal won’t touch you again, honest!”

“…see to it that you do not.” With that, the rabbit put some space between the human child and himself. He didn’t care a whit about this ‘Bal’s’ situation, especially since everyone in this city was suffering from whatever it was currently going on. As long as he was not touched again, and left alone, the human child could do as he pleased.

Bal ran over to the Fox to see if it was friendly. It seemed to want to catch Bal’s attention, so he definitely went to pet the Fox. “Are you Bal’s friend baru?”

Kurama just slowly nodded his head. Thank God there were silent ways to give an answer, he really needed it right now.

After a moment he finally catches his breath, and exhales for a few exhales before breathing normally. He looks around, avoiding staring at the now human once dragon. “Same boat as you. I went on a walk like I usually do to investigate the area. Then suddenly some triangle in the Sky wants to call us his ‘Overlord’ or something and did all this to Hive City.” He pauses, one of his wings twitches. “I’m not sure I like, or why skulls of all things is raining. But who were you trying to find that you lost? Maybe you can get to them.”

“But Bal is a dragon baru! Wait. Are you Richter? Bal knows you! But Bal thinks we need to find shelter baru! It’s getting worse and Bal is getting hurt…”

The red-head immediately takes this into notice, and quickly picks up the child. Running until there is a small area with a roof, it’s the best shelter he can find. He sets Bal down once under it, panting and clenching his side. “Y-Yes. I’m Rich-Richter. Why are y-you human?”

"Bal doesn't know baru. Bal woke up like this and didn't think about it until you said something baru. Why is it raining skulls? First Bal loses people, now Bal is people, and now it's raining skulls baru.... It doesn't make sense baru..."

Bal had been trying to find others and wondered if he could find that other red head guy that was super nice to him and that liked Gaito. He crossed over to Sector 001 somehow, he didn’t know how he’d gotten there, but now it wasn’t skulls,... It was was Wax...?

Well, that was going to stop him from looking. But he wasn’t expecting a fox for his friend. And he was sure his friend wasn’t going to expect a little kid. He’d been told he now looked like a kid, which... would explain why he got hurt easier and why he felt different.

Bal had been trying to dodge the raining skulls as well, but not without being hurt pretty badly. He was going to try and find people he knew to at least se if they could find shelter together, but it seemed of no use until he collided with someone and fell.

Strange. He hadn’t seen any kids in this Sector before. Perhaps he hadn’t been looking! Wait a minute…Did they just say Bal and baru? The red-head picked up his phone and glasses, returning the glasses to his face and the phone closed and in his pocket. Now he’s shocked, this kid look almost exactly like that small dragon he had met before!! Wait a second.

“Bal? Baru? You sound like a dragon that I know, kid.”

The red-head is running down the streets, trying to doge the fact that it’s suddenly raining skulls. Though of course a few hit him. He’s focused on his phone, trying to call people he knows. Hoping someone picks up. Until he runs into somebody and drops the phone, and looks at them. He’s completely on edge, what the hell was going on now?!!?

“I don’t know if you noticed but now is not exactly the time for running into people!”

Bal was kind of upset and weirded out by all the going ons. But he thought to himself about what might be going on, the triangle that talked... And he wondered how everyone was holding up. What he hadn’t noticed was that he was changed in form somehow.

   “Hᴍ, ᴍᴀʏʙᴇ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴛʜɪs ᴘᴀʀᴛʏ ɴᴇᴇᴅs ɪs ᴀ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ᴀᴛᴍᴏsᴘʜᴇʀᴇ! ᴀʜᴀʜᴀʜᴀ!!”

As if the great swirling X which split the sky weren’t enough, goldenrod clouds began to rumble as though wracked with thunder, until descending from the skies the following began to alternate betwixt a trickle and a downpour:

Sector oo1: Wax. Hot, cold, hunks of cheese encased in it…wait, what?

Sector oo2: Skulls. Complete, humanlike, yet oddly ambiguous upon inspection.

Sector oo3: Glitter. Seemingly harmless at present. But don’t let it get in your eye!

Sector oo4: Ectoplasm. Any decent ghostbuster would know that green goop slipping from the clouds isn’t Nickelodeon Slime.

Sector oo5: Sea water? Tears? Either way, a single drop is more than sufficient to salt your margarita.

Sector oo6: Bubbles which drift gently down on the back of the wind. Only…they don’t seem to be popping, do they? Nope, not for a good twenty minutes. Strive not to be buried by them.
